Position your hospitality sales credentials precisely
H-2B sponsorship is tied to specific seasonal or temporary need at individual properties. Tailor your resume to show revenue targets met, group booking volume managed, and direct sales cycle experience, not just hospitality operations generally.
Target Hilton properties with high group demand
Hilton's full-service and convention properties, including Waldorf Astoria and Hilton Hotels and Resorts flagships, generate the most Sales Manager openings. Properties near major convention corridors hire more consistently and are likelier to pursue sponsorship for strong candidates.
Understand how H-2B approval timelines affect your start date
H-2B petitions are filed with USCIS tied to a specific start date and job location. If Hilton files for a peak season role, your availability window is fixed. Confirm that your planned start aligns with the property's approved period before accepting an offer.
Ask directly about the property's sponsorship history
Hilton properties operate with significant autonomy in HR decisions. During final-round interviews, ask the hiring manager whether their specific location has sponsored roles in this function before. Past sponsorship at that property is the strongest predictor of a smooth process.
Verify E-Verify enrollment before your first day
Hilton participates in E-Verify, which USCIS uses to confirm work authorization electronically. Make sure your Form I-9 documentation is complete and accurate at onboarding. Discrepancies flagged by E-Verify can delay or jeopardize your authorization even after visa approval.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Sales Manager openings by sponsorship
Not every Hilton Sales Manager posting comes with sponsorship available. Use Migrate Mate to browse open roles filtered by visa sponsorship status, so you're applying to positions where the property is already prepared to support the filing process.

Find Sales Manager at Hilton JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Hilton sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Managers?
Hilton's Sales Manager roles are more commonly filled through H-2B sponsorship rather than H-1B, because many of these positions are tied to seasonal or temporary staffing needs at specific properties. H-1B sponsorship for this function is less common but not impossible, particularly for senior or corporate-level sales roles that meet specialty occupation requirements under USCIS standards.
Which visa types are commonly used for Sales Manager roles at Hilton?
The H-2B visa is the most frequently used pathway for Sales Manager positions at Hilton, covering temporary or seasonal roles at individual properties. Candidates already in the U.S. on a valid work visa status may also be considered for direct hire. For senior roles with demonstrated specialty occupation criteria, H-1B sponsorship is occasionally available through Hilton's corporate HR process.
What qualifications and experience does Hilton expect for Sales Manager roles?
Hilton typically looks for candidates with prior hotel sales experience, familiarity with group and transient booking channels, and a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets. Experience with property management systems and customer relationship management tools is a practical advantage. Roles at full-service or convention properties often require experience handling corporate accounts or large group contracts specifically.
How do I apply for Sales Manager jobs at Hilton?
You can find and filter Sales Manager openings at Hilton that include visa sponsorship through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles by sponsorship eligibility. From there, applications typically move through Hilton's internal talent platform. Expect a multi-stage process involving a recruiter screen, a hiring manager interview, and in some cases a presentation or business development exercise for senior roles.
How do I manage the timeline between a job offer and visa filing for a Hilton Sales Manager role?
H-2B petitions must be filed with USCIS ahead of the requested employment start date, and the petition is property-specific. Once Hilton's HR team confirms sponsorship, work closely with their legal or HR contact to confirm the filing window. H-2B processing under regular service can take several weeks, so aligning your notice period and travel plans with the petition timeline is critical to avoiding a gap in authorized status.
