Frame your experience around revenue outcomes
Hilton's Business Development roles prioritize candidates who can demonstrate pipeline growth, account wins, and contract value. Quantify your results in your resume and cover letter before you apply, because generic relationship-management language won't stand out in a competitive hospitality field.
Target Hilton's corporate and managed travel verticals
Hilton actively develops corporate accounts, group travel, and managed travel programs. Positioning yourself as someone with existing relationships in these verticals, rather than leisure or retail hospitality, signals you can contribute immediately and strengthens the business case for sponsorship.
Understand how H-2B limitations shape your options
The H-2B visa covers temporary nonagricultural workers and carries a statutory annual cap. If Hilton's sponsorship for your role falls under H-2B, confirm the petition timing carefully with the hiring team, since cap exhaustion mid-year can delay or disrupt your start date.
Raise sponsorship early in the recruiter conversation
Hilton's talent acquisition teams handle a high volume of Business Development requisitions across regions. Confirming sponsorship eligibility in your first recruiter screen saves time for both sides and avoids reaching the offer stage only to find your visa type isn't supported for that specific role level.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Business Development roles at Hilton by sponsorship type
Not every Hilton Business Development posting will include visa language upfront. Migrate Mate filters roles specifically by sponsorship history, so you can identify which positions are realistic targets before investing time in applications.
Prepare for USCIS petition timelines before accepting an offer
Once Hilton extends an offer, the employer-side filing with USCIS begins. Standard processing can run several months. Align your current status expiration, any grace period, or OPT end date against that window before you sign, so you're not caught in a gap between authorization periods.

Find Business Development at Hilton JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Hilton sponsor H-1B visas for Business Development roles?
Hilton's sponsorship activity for Business Development roles has historically leaned toward H-2B rather than H-1B. H-1B sponsorship is more common for roles classified as specialty occupations requiring a directly related bachelor's degree. Whether a specific Business Development position qualifies depends on how Hilton structures the job description and degree requirements, so confirm the visa type with the recruiter before proceeding.
What visa types does Hilton commonly sponsor for Business Development positions?
H-2B is the visa type most associated with Hilton's sponsorship activity in this function. H-2B covers temporary work in roles where U.S. workers are not available in sufficient numbers. If your Business Development background aligns with a specialty occupation profile, it's worth asking whether the role could be structured to support H-1B sponsorship instead, since H-1B offers a longer and more flexible authorization period.
What qualifications does Hilton typically expect for Business Development roles?
Hilton generally looks for candidates with a background in hospitality sales, corporate account management, or group travel, often paired with a degree in business, hospitality management, or a related field. Demonstrated experience managing high-value accounts or growing territory revenue is weighted heavily. For international candidates, fluency in English and familiarity with U.S. corporate travel markets are practical advantages.
How do I apply for Business Development jobs at Hilton?
Start by browsing current openings on Hilton's careers site, filtering for Business Development titles in your target region. Migrate Mate is a useful starting point if you want to surface only those roles with a verified sponsorship history before applying. Tailor your application to highlight revenue impact and specific account types. In your first recruiter contact, confirm the visa sponsorship pathway for that specific role.
How do I navigate the timeline between a Hilton offer and work authorization?
After Hilton extends an offer for a sponsored role, the employer initiates the petition process with USCIS. Standard processing can take several months, and premium processing may be available depending on visa type. Map your current authorization window, including any applicable grace period, against that timeline before accepting. If you're on OPT, check whether your OPT end date gives you enough runway for the petition to clear.
