Frame your credentials around U.S. lodging standards
Hilton evaluates Business Managers on familiarity with branded hotel operations, not just general management experience. Translate your background into metrics Hilton uses internally, like RevPAR performance, cost-per-occupied-room, and brand compliance outcomes, before you apply.
Target properties undergoing expansion or conversion
Hilton properties transitioning between brands or opening under new flags often have the most urgent Business Manager hiring needs and more flexibility on sponsorship. Watch Hilton's development pipeline to identify locations actively recruiting before roles go stale.
Understand H-2B limitations before accepting a role
H-2B is a temporary nonagricultural worker visa tied to seasonal demand, not a long-term sponsorship path. If Hilton offers you a Business Manager role under H-2B, clarify whether the position is classified as seasonal and what your options are once the period of authorized stay ends.
Clarify the LCA filing timeline with your hiring contact
Before you accept an offer, ask Hilton's HR team whether they've filed the Labor Condition Application with the DOL for your role. LCA certification must come before any visa petition, and delays at this stage can push your start date back by weeks.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Hilton's open Business Manager roles
Not every Business Manager opening at Hilton lists sponsorship eligibility upfront. Use Migrate Mate to surface positions where Hilton has an active sponsorship history for this function, so you're applying to roles where the process is already familiar to their HR team.
Build internal referrals through Hilton's management development network
Hilton promotes heavily from within its global management programs. Connecting with regional directors or general managers who have navigated sponsorship themselves gives you an internal advocate who can help your application move through Hilton's HR and legal review faster.

Find Business Manager at Hilton JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Hilton sponsor H-1B visas for Business Managers?
Hilton's visa sponsorship for Business Manager roles has primarily been through the H-2B category, which covers temporary nonagricultural workers in seasonal demand periods. H-1B sponsorship is less common for this role classification at Hilton because Business Manager positions often don't meet the specialty occupation threshold USCIS requires. If a long-term work visa is your goal, clarify the visa type upfront before advancing in the interview process.
What visa types are commonly used for Business Manager roles at Hilton?
H-2B is the most commonly used visa for Business Manager roles at Hilton, reflecting the seasonal and cyclical demand patterns typical in hospitality. In some cases, candidates already holding an H-1B or L-1 through a prior employer may transfer status when joining Hilton, but Hilton itself initiates sponsorship most frequently under H-2B for this role category.
What qualifications does Hilton expect for a Business Manager role?
Hilton typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field, combined with direct experience managing hotel operations or a hotel department. Familiarity with property management systems, revenue management tools, and brand compliance standards used across Hilton's portfolio strengthens your application considerably. Multi-property or branded hotel experience is a recurring theme in how Hilton structures this role.
How do I apply for Business Manager jobs at Hilton?
You can find and apply for Business Manager roles at Hilton through Migrate Mate, which surfaces positions where Hilton has a sponsorship track record for this function. Applying through channels where sponsorship is already confirmed saves time and avoids the common scenario of progressing through multiple interview rounds before learning a role doesn't support visa sponsorship. Tailor your application to Hilton's brand-specific operational language to stand out.
How do I manage the timeline between a Hilton offer and my visa filing?
Once Hilton extends an offer, the sponsorship process involves DOL Labor Condition Application certification before USCIS can receive the visa petition. For H-2B roles, filings are tied to specific start dates and DOL filing windows, so delays compound quickly. Confirm with Hilton's HR team exactly when they plan to initiate each step, and make sure your personal documents, including your passport validity and any prior immigration history, are ready before the employer begins filing.
