Tailor Your Resume to Club Standards
Life Time operates large-scale athletic clubs with high-traffic locker rooms, pools, and fitness floors. Highlight experience cleaning commercial or hospitality facilities, not just residential. Familiarity with OSHA sanitation protocols and floor care equipment makes your application stand out.
Start Your OPT Timeline Early
F-1 students using OPT for a Housekeeping role must secure employment before their OPT start date. USCIS recommends applying 90 days in advance, so coordinate your DSO paperwork and Life Time's onboarding timeline to avoid a gap in work authorization.
Confirm the Site Location Sponsors Directly
Life Time operates locations across multiple states, and sponsorship decisions are often made at the corporate level but tied to specific club needs. Ask the hiring manager upfront whether the position you're interviewing for has budget allocated for PERM or employer-based sponsorship.
Understand What the PERM Process Requires of You
For EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, your employer files a PERM labor certification with DOL on your behalf. You'll need to provide education records and prior employment documentation. Gather official transcripts and reference letters before the offer stage so you're not scrambling.
Find Open Housekeeping Roles at Life Time on Migrate Mate
Search Migrate Mate to filter Life Time's open Housekeeping positions by visa type and location. It surfaces roles where sponsorship has been used before, so you can focus your applications on clubs with a demonstrated track record rather than cold-applying across all locations.
Use CPT Strategically If You're Still Enrolled
If you're completing a hospitality or facilities management program, CPT-eligible roles at Life Time count as practical training. Work with your DSO to structure a qualifying offer letter that satisfies your program's curricular requirements while meeting Life Time's minimum hourly commitments.

Does Life Time sponsor H-1B visas for Housekeeping roles?
H-1B sponsorship is not the typical pathway for Housekeeping roles at Life Time. The H-1B is designed for specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field, and Housekeeping positions generally do not meet that threshold. Life Time's sponsorship activity for this function has centered on employment-based immigrant visa categories rather than H-1B.
Which visa types are commonly used for Housekeeping roles at Life Time?
Life Time has sponsored Housekeeping workers through EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories, which are employment-based Green Card pathways filed through the PERM labor certification process with DOL. F-1 students on OPT or CPT are also eligible to work in these roles without employer sponsorship during their authorized training period, making those pathways a common entry point.
What qualifications or experience does Life Time expect for Housekeeping positions?
Life Time's clubs maintain gym floors, aquatic areas, locker rooms, and spa facilities, so relevant commercial cleaning experience is valued over residential backgrounds. Familiarity with chemical safety standards, floor care equipment, and high-volume turnaround is a practical asset. Physical stamina and reliability during early morning or late evening shifts are consistent expectations across Life Time locations.
How do I apply for Housekeeping jobs at Life Time?
You can browse and apply for open Housekeeping positions at Life Time through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship history and location. When applying, confirm the specific club's sponsorship capacity with the recruiter early in the process. Life Time typically screens for availability and schedule flexibility before advancing candidates to in-person evaluations.
How do I understand the timeline if Life Time sponsors me for a Green Card?
The EB-3 process through Life Time would begin with PERM labor certification filed with DOL, which can take 12 to 18 months on its own. After approval, your employer files an I-140 petition with USCIS. Depending on your country of birth, the wait for a visa number can extend further. Starting this process as early as possible in your employment is the most practical approach.
