Align your credentials with specialty occupation standards
HR Manager roles at Life Time need to meet USCIS specialty occupation criteria. A bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational psychology, or a closely related field strengthens your petition far more than a general business degree with HR experience alone.
Target Life Time's multi-site HR openings strategically
Life Time operates large-format clubs across dozens of markets. HR Manager roles supporting regional or multi-club portfolios signal complexity and seniority, which correlates with stronger employer motivation to initiate PERM labor certification for the right candidate.
Search visa-friendly HR roles through Migrate Mate
Filter Human Resources Manager openings at Life Time by sponsorship type on Migrate Mate. This lets you prioritize roles where immigrant visa pathways like EB-2 or EB-3 are explicitly on the table before you invest time in the application process.
Clarify OPT cap-gap coverage before your start date
If you're on F-1 OPT and Life Time extends an offer, confirm your cap-gap protection window with your DSO immediately. HR roles often have structured onboarding timelines, and a gap in work authorization can complicate a fixed start date.
Understand what PERM recruitment obligations mean for your offer
Life Time must conduct a federally supervised recruitment process under DOL PERM rules before sponsoring EB-2 or EB-3. Knowing this timeline upfront helps you set realistic expectations with your hiring manager about when an immigrant visa petition can begin.
Demonstrate experience with high-volume, hourly workforce management
Life Time's HR teams manage large populations of fitness instructors, trainers, and service staff. Showcasing direct experience with hourly workforce compliance, turnover management, or multi-location HR operations signals immediate fit and reduces employer hesitation about sponsorship investment.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Life Time sponsor H-1B visas for Human Resources Managers?
Life Time's primary sponsorship pathway for Human Resources Managers has been through employment-based immigrant visa categories rather than the H-1B visa. If you're targeting Life Time for H-1B sponsorship, confirm directly with their HR or talent acquisition team during the offer stage, since sponsorship availability can vary by role, location, and business need.
Which visa types are commonly used for Human Resources Manager roles at Life Time?
Life Time has sponsored immigrant visa categories including EB-2 and EB-3 for HR functions, which require PERM labor certification through the Department of Labor. F-1 OPT and CPT have also been used for early-career HR professionals. These pathways suit candidates with relevant degrees and structured HR experience in high-volume workforce environments.
What qualifications and experience does Life Time expect for Human Resources Manager roles?
Life Time typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related discipline, combined with hands-on experience managing HR operations for large or multi-site teams. Familiarity with hourly workforce compliance, benefits administration, and employee relations in a service or wellness industry context strengthens your candidacy significantly.
How do I apply for Human Resources Manager jobs at Life Time?
You can browse current Human Resources Manager openings at Life Time through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can identify positions where sponsorship is available before applying. Apply directly through Life Time's careers portal with a resume tailored to multi-location HR operations and workforce management, and address sponsorship directly during the initial recruiter conversation.
How do I manage the timeline between a job offer from Life Time and my visa filing?
If you're on F-1 OPT, you have a limited window to maintain work authorization while an employer-sponsored process begins, so confirm your OPT end date and any cap-gap eligibility with your DSO immediately after receiving an offer. For immigrant visa pathways like EB-2 or EB-3, PERM labor certification through the DOL can take six months or longer before USCIS petition filing even begins, so early alignment with Life Time's HR and legal team is essential.
