Document Member-Facing Experience in Wellness Settings
Life Time's Service Coordinator roles prioritize hands-on experience in fitness, hospitality, or recreation environments. Frame your resume around member coordination, scheduling systems, and facility operations rather than general administrative work to signal direct role fit.
Target Clubs with High Coordinator Turnover
Life Time operates locations across multiple states with ongoing Service Coordinator openings. Applying to newer or high-volume clubs increases your odds, as those locations actively hire and are more likely to move quickly through the offer and sponsorship conversation.
Start OPT Early to Align with Hiring Cycles
F-1 students should activate OPT authorization through their DSO at least three months before their target start date. Life Time's hiring cycles for this role tend to be short, so arriving at the offer stage with your Employment Authorization Document already in hand removes a common friction point.
Ask Directly About EB-3 Sponsorship During Interviews
Life Time has filed employment-based sponsorship for Service Coordinator roles. When you reach the offer stage, ask your recruiter whether the position qualifies for EB-3 sponsorship and confirm the company uses PERM labor certification, so you understand the expected USCIS filing timeline upfront.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Verified Sponsoring Locations
Not every Life Time club actively processes visa filings for this role. Search Migrate Mate to identify which specific Service Coordinator postings are tied to Life Time's sponsorship history, so you apply only to positions where immigration support is a realistic outcome.
Prepare a Backup Plan Around the 60-Day Grace Period
If your current OPT or status ends before Life Time completes its hiring process, you have a 60-day grace period after employment ends to secure a new offer. Avoid gaps by tracking your I-94 expiration closely and keeping at least two active applications in parallel.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Life Time sponsor H-1B visas for Service Coordinators?
Life Time's sponsorship activity for Service Coordinator roles has been concentrated in employment-based Green Card pathways like EB-2 and EB-3, not H-1B visa. H-1B is typically reserved for specialty occupations requiring a specific bachelor's degree, and Service Coordinator roles often don't meet that threshold. If H-1B sponsorship is your goal, clarify the role's classification with the recruiter before advancing.
Which visa types are commonly used for Service Coordinator roles at Life Time?
The most relevant categories are F-1 OPT and F-1 CPT for students currently studying or recently graduated, and EB-3 for longer-term employment-based Green Card sponsorship. EB-3 covers skilled and unskilled workers and is a common pathway for coordination and operations roles in the sports and recreation industry. Your eligibility depends on your current status and how long you can wait for USCIS processing.
What qualifications or experience does Life Time expect for a Service Coordinator role?
Life Time typically looks for candidates with experience in customer-facing operations, ideally in a fitness, hospitality, or recreation setting. Strong proficiency with scheduling software, member management platforms, and multi-tasking in a physical facility environment strengthens your application. A bachelor's degree in a related field is helpful but not always required. Demonstrating familiarity with Life Time's club model specifically gives you an edge over generalist applicants.
How do I apply for Service Coordinator jobs at Life Time?
You can browse current Service Coordinator openings on Life Time's careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for roles tied to visa sponsorship history. When applying, tailor your resume to Life Time's member experience focus and flag your work authorization status early in the process. Reaching out to a club's operations manager directly, in addition to applying online, can accelerate the review timeline significantly.
How do I plan around the timeline for EB-3 sponsorship at Life Time?
EB-3 sponsorship through PERM labor certification typically takes one to three years from the initial DOL filing to a Green Card approval, depending on your country of birth and USCIS processing backlogs. Life Time must complete the PERM recruitment process before filing your petition. Plan to maintain valid work authorization throughout, whether through OPT, OPT extension, or a bridging visa, and confirm with your employer when each DOL and USCIS milestone is expected.
