Tips for Finding Service Coordinator Jobs at BayCare Health System
Align Your Credentials to Care Coordination Standards
BayCare Service Coordinator roles typically require backgrounds in social work, healthcare administration, or case management. Before applying, confirm your degree and any relevant certifications like CCM or ACM translate clearly to the U.S. specialty occupation standard USCIS uses to evaluate H-1B eligibility.
Target BayCare's High-Volume Hiring Facilities
BayCare operates across multiple hospital campuses and outpatient centers in the Tampa Bay area. Service Coordinator openings are spread across these sites, so filtering by specific facility can surface roles with more immediate hiring timelines and stronger local workforce needs.
Browse Open Roles Through Migrate Mate
Service Coordinator positions at BayCare cycle through regularly, and timing your application matters. Use Migrate Mate to filter BayCare's active Service Coordinator openings by visa type so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is already part of the employer's hiring plan.
Clarify Sponsorship Scope Before Accepting an Offer
BayCare sponsors multiple visa categories, but not every offer automatically covers all pathways. During negotiations, confirm whether the offer includes PERM-based Green Card sponsorship in addition to an H-1B petition, since Service Coordinator roles can qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 depending on the position's requirements.
Account for DOL Prevailing Wage in Your Offer Review
For H-1B and PERM filings, BayCare's HR team must comply with DOL prevailing wage requirements for care coordination roles in the Tampa Bay labor market. Review the wage level against the DOL's Foreign Labor Certification Data Center before signing, so there are no surprises during the LCA filing stage.
Time Your OPT or CPT Application to BayCare's Hiring Cycles
BayCare accepts F-1 OPT and CPT candidates, which gives students a lower-friction entry point before pursuing H-1B sponsorship. Submit applications several months ahead of your work authorization start date so your timeline aligns with BayCare's onboarding process rather than forcing a gap.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does BayCare Health System sponsor H-1B visas for Service Coordinators?
Yes, BayCare Health System sponsors H-1B visas for Service Coordinator roles. The position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation because it requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specialized field such as social work, health administration, or a related discipline. BayCare's HR and legal teams handle the LCA filing with DOL and the H-1B petition with USCIS, but you should confirm sponsorship availability for the specific role and facility during your interview process.
Which visa types does BayCare Health System commonly use for Service Coordinator roles?
BayCare sponsors H-1B visas as the primary work authorization pathway for Service Coordinators, and also supports TN visas for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying healthcare roles. F-1 OPT and CPT are accepted for students already in the U.S., providing an entry point before transitioning to long-term sponsorship. For permanent residency, BayCare has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for healthcare support professionals through the PERM labor certification process.
How do I apply for Service Coordinator jobs at BayCare Health System?
You can browse and apply for Service Coordinator positions at BayCare Health System directly through Migrate Mate, which filters open roles by visa sponsorship type so you can identify which postings align with your work authorization needs. BayCare's application process requires a resume tailored to care coordination, relevant licensure or certifications where applicable, and clear documentation of your current visa status so the hiring team can assess sponsorship requirements early in the process.
What qualifications does BayCare Health System expect for Service Coordinator positions?
BayCare Service Coordinator roles generally require a bachelor's degree in social work, healthcare administration, psychology, or a closely related field. Case management experience in a clinical or community health setting strengthens your application considerably. Certifications such as Certified Case Manager (CCM) are viewed favorably and can also support the specialty occupation classification that USCIS requires for H-1B approval. Bilingual candidates, particularly Spanish speakers, are competitive for patient-facing coordinator roles across BayCare's Tampa Bay facilities.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship for a BayCare Service Coordinator role?
The H-1B cap lottery opens in March each year for an October 1 start date, so the practical window between a job offer and your first day can be six months or longer for cap-subject candidates. BayCare can file under cap-exempt status in some cases, or support a change of status from F-1 OPT if you have sufficient authorized work time remaining. Discuss your current status and authorization end date with BayCare's HR team at the offer stage so they can determine the right filing strategy before USCIS deadlines close.
