Align your PMP credentials to Hilton's portfolio
Hilton runs parallel transformation programs across its brand portfolio, from full-service hotels to extended-stay properties. A PMP or PMI-ACP certification signals you can manage that complexity. Credential verification takes time, so get your certificates in order before applying.
Target Hilton's corporate and regional program teams
Hilton posts Project Program Manager roles across both its McLean headquarters and regional hubs. Corporate-level postings typically involve enterprise technology or brand rollouts, where H-1B sponsorship is more established than at property-level operations roles.
Confirm sponsorship eligibility before the offer stage
Ask your recruiter directly whether the specific requisition is approved for visa sponsorship. Hilton's sponsorship decisions sometimes vary by business unit and funding source, so confirming early prevents late-stage surprises after you've cleared multiple interview rounds.
Prepare for DOL prevailing wage scrutiny on your offer
H-1B petitions require Hilton to file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL, certifying your offered wage meets the prevailing wage for your location and role level. Research DOL wage data for program management roles in your target city so you can negotiate from an informed position.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Hilton's sponsored openings
Hilton's career portal doesn't flag visa sponsorship availability on individual listings. Use Migrate Mate to surface Project Program Manager postings at Hilton that have a verified sponsorship track record, so you're not applying blind to roles where sponsorship isn't on the table.
Time your application around Hilton's H-1B cap filing window
USCIS opens H-1B registration each March for an October 1 start date. If you're targeting cap-subject sponsorship, aim to have an offer finalized by February so Hilton's legal team can prepare the petition before the registration window closes.

Does Hilton sponsor H-1B visas for Project Program Managers?
Hilton does sponsor H-1B visas for Project Program Manager roles, particularly at its corporate and regional offices where program management functions are tied to specialized business operations. Sponsorship is more common for roles requiring a specific technical or operational degree background. Not every posting is approved for sponsorship, so confirming with the recruiter before advancing is worth doing early in the process.
Which visa types are commonly used for Project Program Manager roles at Hilton?
The H-1B is the most common visa type for Project Program Manager roles at Hilton, given the specialty occupation requirements tied to project management credentials and relevant degree fields. For Canadian or Mexican nationals, the TN visa can also apply if the role qualifies under a relevant professional category. Hilton has also sponsored H-2B visas for operational roles, though that classification is less typical for program management positions.
What qualifications and experience does Hilton expect for Project Program Manager roles?
Hilton typically looks for a bachelor's degree in business, information systems, hospitality management, or a related field, combined with several years of hands-on program or project management experience. PMP certification is frequently listed as preferred or required. For corporate-level roles, experience managing cross-functional initiatives in a large, multi-property hospitality or service environment carries significant weight during the hiring process.
How do I apply for Project Program Manager jobs at Hilton?
You can apply through Hilton's careers portal directly, but listings don't indicate whether visa sponsorship is available for each role. Migrate Mate lets you browse Project Program Manager openings at Hilton that have a documented sponsorship history, so you can focus your time on roles where international candidates have a realistic path. Once you identify a target role, apply through Hilton's official portal and flag your visa status early with the recruiter.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take if Hilton offers me a Project Program Manager role?
For an H-1B, Hilton must first file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL, which typically takes around seven business days. The full H-1B petition then goes to USCIS, with standard processing taking three to six months. Premium processing, which USCIS offers for an additional fee, can return a decision in about 15 business days. If you're subject to the annual cap, the earliest start date is October 1, so backward planning from that date is essential.
