Target clinical and allied health roles first

Understand which visa types they actually use
Huron Regional Medical Center sponsors Green Cards through EB-2 and EB-3 categories, and accepts F-1 OPT, CPT, and TN workers. Tailor your application to highlight credentials that align with the specific pathway you're pursuing.
Lead with your professional credentials upfront
Healthcare employers prioritize licensure, certifications, and specialized clinical experience when evaluating international candidates. Make sure your resume clearly lists your credentials, degree equivalency, and any U.S. clinical experience before anything else.
Ask about PERM sponsorship timelines during interviews
EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through PERM is a lengthy process. Raise the question early, ideally during the offer negotiation stage, so both sides have aligned expectations about timing, costs, and employer commitment.
