Align your credentials to NEMA standards
Integrated Power Services works heavily with motors, drives, and power distribution systems. Certifications aligned to NEMA or EASA standards, or documented experience with predictive maintenance tools like vibration analysis, signal clearly that you fit the technical profile they hire for.
Target locations with active maintenance openings
Integrated Power Services operates service centers across multiple states. Applying to locations with multiple open Maintenance Engineer postings increases your odds of reaching a hiring manager who already has headcount approved and sponsorship precedent within that facility.
Clarify your OPT or TN eligibility before applying
If you hold an F-1 visa, OPT lets you start work before an H-1B petition is filed. Canadian and Mexican engineers should confirm TN eligibility under USMCA, since Integrated Power Services sponsors that category and it avoids the H-1B lottery entirely.
Ask about the H-1B filing calendar during offer discussions
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed by April 1 for an October 1 start. When negotiating your offer, ask the hiring team where you are in their fiscal planning cycle so your petition lands within USCIS's registration window.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsoring employers
Maintenance Engineer roles that explicitly support visa sponsorship aren't always labeled clearly on general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to filter Integrated Power Services openings by visa type, so you only spend time on roles where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Document hands-on equipment experience for the LCA wage determination
DOL uses job duties and required skills to set the prevailing wage level on your Labor Condition Application. Maintenance Engineers with documented experience on specific equipment classes like transformers or servo drives are more likely to be classified at a wage level that matches your current compensation expectations.

Find Maintenance Engineer at Integrated Power Services JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Integrated Power Services sponsor H-1B visas for Maintenance Engineers?
Yes, Integrated Power Services has sponsored H-1B visas for Maintenance Engineers. The role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation given the engineering degree requirements involved. Your employer will need to file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL and submit a petition to USCIS, so confirming sponsorship intent early in the interview process is important.
How do I apply for Maintenance Engineer jobs at Integrated Power Services?
You can find and apply for Maintenance Engineer openings at Integrated Power Services through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for roles where visa sponsorship is supported. Once you identify a relevant opening, apply directly and make clear in your application or first conversation that you require sponsorship so the hiring team can route you appropriately from the start.
Which visa types does Integrated Power Services support for Maintenance Engineers?
Integrated Power Services has sponsored H-1B visas and also supports F-1 OPT and CPT, making it accessible for international students completing engineering programs in the U.S. The TN visa is an option for Canadian and Mexican engineers whose roles fall under the USMCA professional categories, which Maintenance Engineer positions can qualify for depending on job duties and degree field.
What qualifications does Integrated Power Services expect from Maintenance Engineers?
Most Maintenance Engineer roles at Integrated Power Services require a bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or a related engineering discipline. Hands-on experience with industrial power equipment, such as motors, drives, switchgear, or transformers, is typically expected. Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and experience in a manufacturing or industrial services environment, strengthens your application considerably.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Maintenance Engineer role?
Timeline depends on the visa type. For H-1B, your employer registers in March, and if selected, work authorization begins October 1, meaning the process spans roughly six to eight months from registration to start date. F-1 OPT can bridge that gap if you're already in the U.S. on a student visa. TN visas for Canadian nationals can be approved at the border in a single day.
