Tailor your resume to field service demands
Service Engineer roles at Integrated Power Services emphasize rotating equipment, motors, and power distribution systems. Highlight hands-on repair experience and any field commissioning work explicitly, hiring managers in industrial services scan for technical depth, not just degree credentials.
Verify your credentials translate for U.S. roles
If your engineering degree is from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved agency before applying. Specialty occupation classification for H-1B eligibility depends on your degree aligning directly with the Service Engineer role's technical requirements.
Target locations where openings are concentrated
Integrated Power Services operates service centers across multiple U.S. regions. Search by specific city or state rather than broadly, applying to a facility near an existing service hub improves your chances of reaching a hiring manager who regularly works with sponsored engineers.
Browse open roles through Migrate Mate first
Use Migrate Mate to filter Service Engineer openings at Integrated Power Services by visa type. This narrows your search to positions where sponsorship is a live consideration, so you're not spending application cycles on roles that won't move forward with your status.
Clarify OPT or TN timing before your interview
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your STEM extension eligibility and remaining authorized period before your first interview. For TN applicants, the Service Engineer role under NAFTA typically qualifies under the engineer category, but your employer will need to confirm the job description aligns at the border or consulate.
Understand the H-1B filing calendar when negotiating a start date
H-1B cap-subject petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start. If you receive an offer outside that window, discuss a cap-exempt or OPT bridge arrangement with your recruiter so the timeline doesn't collapse the offer before USCIS can act.

Find Service Engineer at Integrated Power Services JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Integrated Power Services sponsor H-1B visas for Service Engineers?
Yes, Integrated Power Services has sponsored H-1B visas for Service Engineer roles. The role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation given its electrical or mechanical engineering requirements, which is the baseline USCIS looks for when approving H-1B petitions. Your best path is applying directly and confirming sponsorship willingness during the recruiter screening call.
How do I apply for Service Engineer jobs at Integrated Power Services?
Apply through the Integrated Power Services careers page or browse current openings filtered by visa type on Migrate Mate. When you apply, tailor your resume to the specific service center location and emphasize hands-on experience with motors, transformers, or power distribution equipment, that's the technical profile these roles are built around.
Which visa types are commonly used for Service Engineer roles at Integrated Power Services?
H-1B is the most common long-term sponsorship path for Service Engineers at Integrated Power Services. F-1 OPT and CPT are also supported, which makes the company accessible to recent graduates completing engineering programs. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify under the TN visa category, which covers engineering roles and doesn't require USCIS lottery selection.
What qualifications does Integrated Power Services expect for Service Engineer candidates?
Most Service Engineer roles require a bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or a related engineering discipline, combined with practical experience in industrial power systems, rotating equipment, or field service environments. Certifications in motor testing, winding analysis, or switchgear repair are valued. The role is field-facing, so comfort with on-site work across multiple locations matters as much as the technical background.
How do I handle the H-1B lottery timing if I receive an offer from Integrated Power Services?
H-1B cap-subject petitions are submitted to USCIS in April, with employment starting October 1 at the earliest. If you're on OPT when you receive an offer, your employer can file a timely H-1B petition and you can continue working through your OPT period under the cap-gap rule. Discuss this timeline with your recruiter early so the offer structure accounts for it.
