Document Your Hands-On Technical Certifications First
Before applying, compile certifications like NETA, EASA, or state electrical licenses that directly map to IPS's field work. Sponsorship approvals for technical roles depend on demonstrating specialty occupation status, so credential gaps will slow the process.
Target Openings in Industrial-Heavy Service Regions
Integrated Power Services fills Field Service Technician roles across manufacturing-dense markets. Applying to locations near large industrial customers increases your chances of joining a team where sponsorship has existing infrastructure and recurring hiring demand.
Clarify TN Eligibility Before Your Interview
Canadian and Mexican nationals qualify for TN status as engineers or certain technical roles without waiting for an H-1B lottery. Confirm with the recruiter whether your specific Field Service Technician duties qualify under DOL-recognized TN occupation categories before accepting an offer.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Active IPS Openings by Location
Field Service Technician roles at Integrated Power Services are posted across dozens of service regions. Use Migrate Mate to filter active openings by location and visa sponsorship type so you target positions where your authorization is already a match.

Find Field Service Technician at Integrated Power Services JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Integrated Power Services sponsor H-1B visas for Field Service Technicians?
Yes, Integrated Power Services has sponsored H-1B visas for Field Service Technician roles. Because these positions require specialized knowledge of industrial power equipment, they can qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards. You should confirm sponsorship availability with the recruiter during the interview process, as eligibility varies by specific role and location.
Which visa types are commonly used for Field Service Technician roles at Integrated Power Services?
Integrated Power Services sponsors H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT visas for this role. F-1 OPT and CPT are most common for recent graduates entering field technical work. TN status is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose duties align with qualifying DOL occupation categories. H-1B is the primary long-term pathway for continued sponsorship.
What qualifications or experience are expected for Field Service Technician roles at Integrated Power Services?
IPS typically looks for candidates with hands-on experience in electrical motor repair, transformer maintenance, or rotating equipment servicing. A degree or diploma in electrical engineering technology or a related field strengthens your application. Industry certifications from bodies like NETA or EASA are valued. Field experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a strong differentiator.
How do I apply for Field Service Technician jobs at Integrated Power Services?
You can browse and apply for Field Service Technician openings at Integrated Power Services through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type and location. Once you identify a relevant opening, apply directly through IPS's application portal. Tailoring your resume to reflect specific equipment experience mentioned in the job description improves your chances of moving to the interview stage.
How do I manage my visa status during the hiring and onboarding process at Integrated Power Services?
If you're transitioning between visa statuses, timing matters. For H-1B transfers, USCIS portability rules allow you to start work once the petition is filed, not just approved. For F-1 OPT, confirm your EAD is active before your first day since IPS uses E-Verify. Build buffer time of at least 30 to 60 days between your expected start date and your current status expiration.
