Job Roles at Marsh Companies
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Marsh Visa Sponsorship USA
Target risk and insurance consulting roles
Marsh's core business is risk management and insurance advisory. Roles in these areas align most directly with its sponsorship history. Focus your search on positions where specialized expertise is the clear hiring driver, that's where sponsorship is most consistently approved.
Understand the H-1B specialty occupation bar
Consulting firms like Marsh file H-1Bs for roles requiring a specific degree, not just any bachelor's. Frame your application around how your credentials map precisely to the role's technical requirements, vague degree-to-job alignment is a common reason for complications.
Factor in the H-1B lottery timeline early
Marsh recruits internationally, but H-1B sponsorship is subject to the annual lottery. If you're targeting a full-time role, align your conversations with recruiters well before the March registration window so the process doesn't catch either side off guard.
Australian nationals should ask about E-3 eligibility
Marsh has sponsored E-3 visas for Australian professionals. If you hold Australian citizenship, raise the E-3 option early in conversations, it bypasses the H-1B lottery entirely and can make the hiring decision significantly simpler for the employer.
Use verified sponsorship data to find the right openings
Not every Marsh posting leads to sponsorship, focus on roles where the firm has a demonstrated history of filing. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and apply with more confidence to roles that fit your visa situation.

Does Marsh sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Marsh sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying professional roles in its consulting and risk advisory business. The firm has an established track record of H-1B filings, particularly for positions requiring specialized expertise. Sponsorship is most common in technical and analytical consulting roles where a specific degree field is a genuine job requirement, not just a preference.
What visa types does Marsh sponsor?
Marsh sponsors H-1B visas for nonimmigrant work authorization, Green Cards through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based preference categories for longer-term employees, and E-3 visas for eligible Australian citizens. The firm's willingness to support multiple visa pathways makes it a stronger option than employers who limit sponsorship to a single visa type.
Which departments or roles at Marsh are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Marsh is most common in roles tied to its core business, risk consulting, insurance advisory, actuarial analysis, and data-driven decision-making. These positions typically require a specific degree field, which satisfies the specialty occupation requirement for H-1B purposes. Corporate functions like finance and technology may also see sponsorship, though less consistently.
How do I time my application to Marsh around the H-1B process?
H-1B registration opens in March each year, with the lottery typically concluding in April and employment start dates no earlier than October 1. If you're targeting Marsh for a full-time role requiring H-1B sponsorship, aim to begin conversations with recruiters by December or January at the latest. This gives both sides time to align before the registration deadline without rushing the offer stage.
How do I find open roles at Marsh that are likely to offer visa sponsorship?
The most reliable approach is to focus on roles where Marsh has a verified history of sponsoring the relevant visa type. Migrate Mate lets you browse Marsh's open positions filtered by sponsorship history, so you can identify which roles are genuinely likely to come with an offer of H-1B, E-3, or Green Card support rather than guessing from a generic job listing.
