Align your domain experience with Mphasis client verticals
Mphasis serves financial services, banking, and insurance clients heavily. Framing your Business Analyst experience around those industries, even if gained at a different employer, makes your profile significantly more relevant to their open roles.
Document your specialty occupation evidence early
USCIS scrutinizes Business Analyst H-1B petitions because the role title can appear non-specialized. Gather job descriptions, degree transcripts, and employer letters showing your work requires a specific bachelor's degree in a relevant technical or analytical field.
Browse open Business Analyst roles through Migrate Mate
Mphasis posts Business Analyst positions across different client engagements and locations. Use Migrate Mate to filter for currently open roles at Mphasis that are visa-sponsorship eligible, so you're applying to active positions rather than outdated listings.
Ask about LCA scope during the offer stage
Mphasis Business Analysts often work at client sites rather than a fixed Mphasis office. Confirm with your recruiter that the Labor Condition Application filed with DOL covers the worksite location where you'll actually be placed, not just headquarters.
Prepare for a longer timeline if Green Card sponsorship is your goal
If Mphasis initiates PERM labor certification for an EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card, the process typically runs 12 to 24 months before an I-140 petition can be filed. Ask your recruiter early whether the specific role is eligible for permanent residence sponsorship.

Does Mphasis sponsor H-1B visas for Business Analysts?
Yes, Mphasis sponsors H-1B visas for Business Analyst roles. The company has an established pattern of filing H-1B petitions for this function, particularly for analysts working on financial services and technology client engagements. If you're currently on OPT or another nonimmigrant status, confirm early in the recruiting process whether your offer includes H-1B cap sponsorship for the next lottery cycle.
How do I apply for Business Analyst jobs at Mphasis?
You can apply directly through the Mphasis careers portal, or browse their currently open Business Analyst roles on Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for visa-sponsorship-eligible positions. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight analytical work in financial services, banking, or insurance, since those are the client verticals Mphasis staffs most heavily for this role.
Which visa types does Mphasis commonly sponsor for Business Analyst roles?
Mphasis sponsors several visa categories for Business Analysts, including H-1B, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying roles, and F-1 OPT and CPT for students still in their academic or post-graduation work authorization window. For long-term employment, Mphasis also initiates EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through the PERM process for eligible employees.
What qualifications does Mphasis look for in Business Analyst candidates?
Mphasis typically expects a bachelor's degree in a field like information systems, computer science, finance, or a related discipline. For H-1B purposes, the degree must be in a specialty directly relevant to the role. Practical experience with requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and tools like SQL, JIRA, or enterprise platforms carries significant weight, especially if your background is in financial services or banking technology.
How do I time my application if my OPT or visa status is expiring soon?
If you're on F-1 OPT, apply to Mphasis Business Analyst roles at least three to four months before your work authorization expires. H-1B cap petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start date, so a gap between OPT expiration and cap-subject H-1B start may require a cap-gap extension or a bridge strategy your attorney can advise on. USCIS processing timelines affect when you can legally begin work.
