Align Your Stack With NetApp's Infrastructure
NetApp's DevOps roles consistently surface around Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud-native tooling tied to ONTAP and cloud storage products. Tailoring your resume to reflect these specific technologies signals direct relevance before your application is even reviewed.
Target NetApp's Cloud and SRE Teams Specifically
DevOps sponsorship at large technology companies is often concentrated in platform, site reliability, and cloud engineering teams rather than generalist IT. Filtering your applications to these verticals within NetApp increases the likelihood of landing a role with active sponsorship precedent.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Sponsored DevOps Roles
Searching broadly across job boards wastes time on roles where sponsorship is unlikely. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for DevOps positions at NetApp that have visa sponsorship attached, so every application you send is already pre-qualified on that front.
Front-Load Your OPT Timeline in Negotiations
If you're on F-1 OPT, the 60-day grace period and H-1B cap timelines are non-negotiable constraints. Communicate your authorization end date to the recruiter before the offer stage so NetApp's immigration team can file your H-1B petition well ahead of the October 1 start date.
Understand What DOL Prevailing Wage Means for Your Offer
For H-1B and PERM-based Green Card filings, DOL requires NetApp to pay the prevailing wage for your specific role and location. If your offered salary falls below the applicable wage level, USCIS will flag the petition, so verify this before accepting any offer.

Find DevOps at NetApp JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does NetApp sponsor H-1B visas for DevOps roles?
Yes, NetApp sponsors H-1B visas for DevOps positions. The company has an established immigration program and works with outside counsel to handle petitions. Because the H-1B is subject to an annual cap and lottery, timing matters significantly. Roles that require an October 1 start date need petitions filed in March, so early engagement with NetApp's recruiting team is essential.
Which visa types does NetApp commonly sponsor for DevOps positions?
NetApp sponsors H-1B visas for most DevOps hires and supports F-1 OPT extensions, including STEM OPT for eligible graduates. For candidates on the TN visa pathway, qualifying Canadian and Mexican nationals in relevant engineering classifications may also be considered. For longer-term pathways, NetApp supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process.
What qualifications does NetApp look for in DevOps candidates requiring sponsorship?
NetApp's DevOps roles require at minimum a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a closely related field, which is also the threshold for H-1B specialty occupation eligibility. Beyond the degree, practical experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, containerization tools like Kubernetes and Docker, and infrastructure-as-code frameworks such as Terraform or Ansible are consistently listed requirements.
How do I apply for DevOps jobs at NetApp?
Browse open DevOps roles at NetApp through Migrate Mate, which filters for positions with confirmed visa sponsorship so you can apply with confidence. When applying, make sure your resume specifically addresses NetApp's infrastructure stack and clearly states your visa status. Following up with the recruiter within one week of applying and signaling your sponsorship needs upfront avoids miscommunication later in the process.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take if I receive a DevOps offer from NetApp?
Timeline depends on your visa category. H-1B petitions filed in April for a cap-subject slot have an October 1 start date at the earliest, meaning a gap of several months between offer and day one. USCIS premium processing can reduce adjudication to 15 business days once the petition is filed. For PERM-based Green Card sponsorship, total processing from labor certification through I-485 approval commonly runs two to four years.
