Frame your credentials around enterprise software outcomes
NetApp Customer Success roles prioritize experience with storage, cloud infrastructure, or SaaS platforms. Before applying, reframe your resume around measurable retention, adoption, or expansion outcomes rather than activity-based metrics like calls made or tickets closed.
Target roles that mention ONTAP or cloud portfolios
NetApp's Customer Success openings tied to its ONTAP, BlueXP, or hybrid cloud products signal deeper technical engagement and stronger headcount investment. These roles are more likely to justify the full sponsorship cycle, including PERM labor certification for Green Card pathways.
Ask directly about PERM sponsorship during offer negotiation
NetApp sponsors both H-1B and employment-based Green Cards for Customer Success hires. During offer conversations, confirm whether the role is eligible for PERM labor certification and what the typical timeline looks like from hire date to I-140 filing.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Customer Success openings by sponsorship
Not every NetApp job listing signals sponsorship eligibility upfront. Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for NetApp Customer Success roles where visa sponsorship has been confirmed, saving you from applying to positions that won't move your immigration status forward.
Prepare a TN-ready credentials package if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
TN status doesn't require employer PERM filing or USCIS petition approval, which can accelerate your start date significantly. Confirm your role qualifies under a TN-eligible occupation category and have your degree credentials and offer letter ready before your port-of-entry appointment.

Does NetApp sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Success?
Yes, NetApp sponsors H-1B visas for Customer Success roles. The company participates in the annual H-1B cap lottery, which opens each April for an October 1 start date. If you're already on H-1B with a prior employer, NetApp can file an H-1B transfer, which lets you start work as soon as USCIS receives the petition without waiting for approval.
How do I apply for Customer Success jobs at NetApp?
Applications go through NetApp's careers portal at netapp.com/company/careers. You can also find and filter NetApp's Customer Success openings with confirmed sponsorship eligibility through Migrate Mate, which streamlines the search for visa-sponsored roles specifically. Tailor your application to emphasize cloud platform experience, customer retention outcomes, and any familiarity with NetApp's product portfolio.
Which visa types does NetApp commonly use for Customer Success hires?
NetApp sponsors H-1B visas for most Customer Success hires and files for employment-based Green Cards, including EB-2 and EB-3 categories, through the PERM labor certification process. F-1 OPT and STEM OPT extensions are accepted during the transition period. Canadian and Mexican nationals may also be eligible to enter on TN status for qualifying Customer Success roles.
What qualifications does NetApp expect for Customer Success roles?
Most Customer Success positions at NetApp expect a bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field, along with experience managing enterprise accounts in SaaS, cloud, or data infrastructure environments. Familiarity with NetApp's ONTAP platform or hybrid cloud architecture is a differentiator. Roles at the senior level typically require demonstrated experience driving product adoption and expansion revenue within complex customer organizations.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a NetApp Customer Success offer?
An H-1B transfer from an existing employer typically allows you to start within weeks of USCIS receiving the petition. For new H-1B cap filings, the process runs from March registration through an October 1 start date at the earliest. PERM labor certification for a Green Card pathway can take one to three years depending on your priority date and country of birth, so it's worth aligning your start date and authorization timeline before accepting an offer.
