Frame your portfolio around enterprise narratives
NetApp's Product Marketing roles center on positioning complex infrastructure and cloud solutions for technical buyers. Tailor your portfolio to show experience translating technical product capabilities into market-facing messaging, not consumer or SMB-focused campaigns.
Target roles tied to flagship product lines
NetApp consistently hires Product Marketing talent around its ONTAP, BlueXP, and cloud storage offerings. Targeting open roles that reference these platforms signals genuine product knowledge and increases your relevance to hiring managers in this function.
Confirm LCA filing before accepting an offer
Your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with DOL before USCIS can approve your H-1B petition. Ask the recruiter at the offer stage which immigration counsel NetApp uses and when LCA preparation typically begins relative to the start date.
Prepare credential documentation for specialty occupation review
USCIS scrutinizes H-1B petitions for product marketing roles by assessing whether the position genuinely requires a specific bachelor's degree. Gather transcripts and any certifications that directly tie your marketing or business degree to the technical domain NetApp operates in.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open roles efficiently
Filtering Product Marketing openings at sponsoring tech companies by visa type saves significant research time. Migrate Mate lets you browse NetApp's current openings specifically filtered for sponsorship-eligible candidates, so you can apply without manually vetting each posting.

Find Product Marketing at NetApp JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does NetApp sponsor H-1B visas for Product Marketings?
Yes, NetApp sponsors H-1B visas for Product Marketing roles. The company has an established immigration program and works with outside immigration counsel to handle LCA filings with the DOL and I-129 petitions with USCIS. If you're on OPT or currently holding an H-1B with another employer, it's worth raising your sponsorship needs early in the interview process so the recruiting team can align timelines.
How do I apply for Product Marketing jobs at NetApp?
Applications go through NetApp's careers portal at netapp.com/careers. Product Marketing roles are listed under the Marketing function and often specify the product line or business unit. You can also find sponsorship-eligible openings at NetApp through Migrate Mate, which filters positions by visa type so you can identify the right roles without manually checking each listing for sponsorship language.
Which visa types does NetApp commonly use for Product Marketing roles?
NetApp sponsors H-1B visas for Product Marketing professionals who need cap-subject sponsorship, and supports F-1 OPT authorization for recent graduates already in the pipeline. For longer-term permanent residence, NetApp has filed under EB-2 and EB-3 preference categories through the PERM labor certification process. TN status is also an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying specialty occupations under the USMCA.
What qualifications does NetApp expect for Product Marketing roles?
NetApp's Product Marketing positions typically require a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a technical field, plus demonstrated experience developing go-to-market strategy for enterprise software or infrastructure products. Familiarity with cloud storage, data management, or hybrid IT environments strengthens your candidacy significantly. Senior roles often expect experience with analyst relations, competitive positioning, or partner marketing in a B2B context.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at NetApp?
The H-1B cap filing window opens in March each year for an October 1 start date. If you're on OPT expiring before October, you'll need to confirm whether your OPT has enough runway or whether a cap-gap extension applies. Targeting a start date several months before your authorization expires gives NetApp's immigration team adequate lead time to prepare the LCA with DOL and submit the I-129 petition to USCIS after lottery selection.
