At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.
Snowflake is about empowering enterprises to achieve their full potential — and people too. With a culture that's all in on impact, innovation, and collaboration, Snowflake is the sweet spot for building big, moving fast, and taking technology — and careers — to the next level.
Snowflake is growing fast and we're scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We're passionate about our people, our customers, our values and our culture! We're also looking for people with a growth mindset and the pragmatic insight to solve for today while building for the future. And as a Snowflake employee, you will be accountable for supporting and enabling diversity and belonging.
Do you want to shape how the world's best builders — data engineers, ML engineers, and app developers — experience Snowflake? We're looking for a technically sharp, builder-obsessed product marketer to own go-to-market strategy for Snowflake's developer-facing product areas.
This person will work at the intersection of product, engineering, and field teams to craft narratives that resonate with hands-on builders — from individual contributors writing code to technical architects evaluating platforms. You'll be Snowflake's voice to the developer community and the developer community's voice back into Snowflake.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Build and execute go-to-market strategies for Snowflake developer products, spanning awareness through adoption, across multiple product areas
- Develop technically credible messaging, positioning, and content — including documentation guides, technical blogs, demo scripts, reference architectures, and code-level examples — that speaks to how builders think and work
- Own the developer persona: deeply understand the workflows, pain points, and decision criteria of data engineers, ML engineers, software developers, and technical architects
- Create sales and partner enablement materials that help field teams articulate developer value propositions and close technical evaluations
- Drive product launch strategy and execution, including naming, segmentation, channel mix, and launch tiers, in partnership with product management and the broader marketing team
- Partner with developer advocacy, community, and documentation teams to build an integrated motion that drives hands-on adoption and retention
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- 7–10 years of product marketing experience, with meaningful exposure to developer-facing or technical products in data, AI, or cloud infrastructure
- Hands-on technical fluency — you've written code (Python, SQL, or similar), understand APIs and developer workflows, and can credibly engage with engineering teams and technical buyers
- Demonstrated track record creating messaging and content for builder personas that drives awareness, trial, and adoption
- Experience developing technical content assets including reference architectures, demo narratives, technical solution briefs, and developer how-to content
- Strong cross-functional skills — can partner effectively with product management, engineering, sales, and developer relations to align GTM strategies and execute launches
- Competitive instincts: comfortable dissecting technical products, benchmarking capabilities, and translating competitive positioning into field-ready battle cards
- Excellent written communication skills; ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear, outcome-focused narratives for both technical and business audiences
- Experience with developer community engagement (GitHub, Stack Overflow, developer conferences) is a plus
- BS/BA in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science) or equivalent experience; MBA a plus
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of time

Frame Your Portfolio Around Data Products
Snowflake evaluates Product Marketing candidates on their ability to translate complex technical capabilities into market positioning. Before applying, rebuild your portfolio samples around cloud data, analytics, or AI products so your work resonates with their hiring team.
Clarify Your OPT Timeline Before Interviewing
If you're on F-1 OPT, calculate exactly how many months remain before your offer date. Snowflake's hiring process can run eight to twelve weeks, so starting your search with less than six months of OPT remaining creates real risk of a gap before H-1B filing.
Target Roles That Map to Specific Product Lines
Snowflake's Product Marketing openings are usually tied to a specific cloud or AI product area rather than a general function. Applying to roles aligned with your demonstrated domain experience improves both your interview odds and the LCA specialty occupation justification your employer files with DOL.
Confirm Sponsorship Scope During the Offer Stage
Ask your recruiter specifically whether the role supports Green Card sponsorship through PERM in addition to H-1B transfer. Some Product Marketing positions at Snowflake are eligible for employer-initiated immigrant visa processes, and confirming this early affects your long-term planning significantly.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Open Roles by Visa Type
Search Migrate Mate to filter Snowflake's current Product Marketing openings by the visa categories they support. This saves time by showing you which specific roles align with your status before you invest effort in tailoring your application materials.
Align Your Degree Field to the Specialty Occupation Standard
USCIS requires that your degree field directly relate to the duties of the Product Marketing role. If your degree is in a tangential field like communications or liberal arts, prepare documentation showing how your coursework or certifications connect directly to technical product marketing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Snowflake sponsor H-1B visas for Product Marketings?
Yes, Snowflake sponsors H-1B visas for Product Marketing roles. The company files both new H-1B cap-subject petitions and H-1B transfers for candidates already holding the status. Product Marketing positions typically qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards given their requirement for a relevant bachelor's degree or higher in a specific technical or business field.
Which visa types does Snowflake commonly sponsor for Product Marketing roles?
Snowflake sponsors a range of visa categories for Product Marketing, including H-1B, TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals, F-1 OPT and CPT for students in their practical training period, J-1 visa exchange visitors, and immigrant visa pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 through PERM labor certification. The specific visa pathway available to you depends on your nationality, education, and the seniority of the role.
What qualifications and experience does Snowflake expect for Product Marketing roles?
Snowflake's Product Marketing roles generally require experience positioning cloud, data platform, or enterprise SaaS products. Expect to demonstrate skills in go-to-market strategy, competitive analysis, and technical content development. Senior roles often require prior experience in data analytics, AI, or database markets. A bachelor's degree in marketing, business, computer science, or a related field is standard, and some roles require an MBA.
How do I apply for Product Marketing jobs at Snowflake?
You can browse and apply for Snowflake's Product Marketing openings through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. Tailor your resume to highlight experience with cloud or data products, and prepare to discuss specific go-to-market campaigns you've led. Snowflake's interview process typically includes a portfolio or case study presentation alongside standard behavioral rounds.
How do I time my job search at Snowflake if I need H-1B sponsorship?
If you need a new H-1B cap-subject petition, USCIS opens registration in March for an October 1 start date. That means you need an offer and a signed petition agreement with Snowflake before late March. Starting your search in November or December gives you enough time to interview, negotiate, and complete H-1B registration before the window closes. If you're transferring an existing H-1B, you can start at any time of year.
