Align your credentials to U.S. IT standards
Persistent Systems evaluates Technician candidates against U.S.-based IT certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, or vendor-specific credentials. If your qualifications are from outside the U.S., get an official credential evaluation before applying so hiring managers can assess your background without friction.
Target client-facing infrastructure and support roles
Persistent Systems staffs Technicians across managed services contracts, so look for postings tied to client delivery teams rather than internal IT. These roles tend to have defined project scopes, which makes it easier for the company to structure an H-1B specialty occupation case around your position.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Persistent Systems openings
Sponsorship-eligible Technician postings at Persistent Systems can be hard to isolate on general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to browse and filter verified visa-sponsoring roles at the company so you're only spending time on positions where sponsorship is actually on the table.
Clarify your TN eligibility before the offer stage
If you're a Canadian or Mexican national, Persistent Systems sponsors the TN visa for qualifying technical roles. Confirm your job title maps to an eligible TN category under USMCA before negotiating your offer, since the classification needs to align precisely with the role description submitted at the border.
Prepare for H-1B cap timing if you're not cap-exempt
If Persistent Systems files an H-1B on your behalf and you're subject to the annual cap, USCIS opens registration in March for an October 1 start. Build that timeline into your negotiations so both you and the hiring team have aligned expectations on your earliest possible start date.
Ask directly how the company structures PERM for Technicians
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship through PERM requires the employer to run a DOL-supervised recruitment process before filing. For Technician roles, the PERM job description must match your actual duties precisely, so clarify this with your recruiter before signing to avoid mismatches during the labor certification stage.

Find Technician at Persistent Systems JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Persistent Systems sponsor H-1B visas for Technicians?
Yes, Persistent Systems sponsors H-1B visas for Technician roles that meet USCIS specialty occupation requirements. The position needs to demonstrate that a theoretical and practical application of highly specialized knowledge is required, so job titles and descriptions in the offer letter should reflect that standard. Roles tied to managed services or IT infrastructure delivery tend to be structured with this in mind.
How do I apply for Technician jobs at Persistent Systems?
You can apply through Persistent Systems' careers portal or through Migrate Mate, which filters for verified sponsorship-eligible openings at the company. When applying, tailor your resume to the specific technical environment listed in the posting, whether that's network support, systems administration, or end-user services, since Persistent Systems staffs Technicians across diverse client engagements and hiring is often project-specific.
Which visa types does Persistent Systems commonly use for Technician roles?
Persistent Systems sponsors H-1B visas for Technician roles requiring specialized technical knowledge, and pursues EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card pathways through the PERM labor certification process for longer-term candidates. Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying technical categories may also be eligible for TN status under USMCA, which offers a faster entry pathway without requiring an annual cap registration.
What qualifications does Persistent Systems expect for Technician positions?
Persistent Systems typically looks for Technicians with a relevant degree or technical certifications in areas like networking, systems support, or IT infrastructure, paired with hands-on experience in enterprise environments. For H-1B sponsorship purposes, the role needs to qualify as a specialty occupation, so candidates with a combination of a bachelor's degree and directly applicable experience are better positioned than those with only general IT backgrounds.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Technician role at Persistent Systems?
Timeline depends heavily on visa type. H-1B sponsorship tied to the annual cap means you'd wait until October 1 of the fiscal year following a March registration. TN status for eligible Canadian nationals can be granted at the port of entry, making it significantly faster. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship typically runs one to two years or more through DOL and USCIS before reaching the immigrant visa stage.
