Electrical & Instrumentation Technician | Manufacturing | Dallas, TX
We are hiring on behalf of a well-established manufacturing client in Dallas, TX for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technician. This is a full-time, hourly position on the Engineering team working rotating 12-hour day/night shifts in a fast-paced production environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Serving as the lead technical expert on electrical sub-components (sensors, motors, drives, PLCs) on your shift
- Troubleshooting and resolving process and equipment issues alongside operations and industrial technician teams
- Selecting, installing, configuring, and calibrating instruments and devices
- Performing planned and reactive electrical maintenance and repairs per standard work plans
- Programming new equipment or modifying existing programs as directed
- Bending and running conduit, pulling cable and wire, and performing hands-on electrical work throughout the facility
- Supporting safety, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Training plant personnel on new systems and updating LOTO/SOP documentation
What You Need
- 5+ years of hands-on electrical/instrumentation experience (high school diploma or GED) OR
- 3+ years with an associate degree in a related field
Preferred Background
- Process control and troubleshooting experience
- Siemens and/or Allen Bradley PLC experience
- NEC and electrical distribution knowledge
- Background in manufacturing, web process handling, or multi-equipment integrated production environments
Work Environment
Split between office and production floor. PPE required on the floor. Must be able to climb, bend, kneel, and lift up to 25 lbs. Rotating 12-hour shifts with occasional overtime.
