We’re seeking an experienced Field Materials Manager to oversee the receiving, inspection, storage, tracking, and transfer of materials and equipment at project sites. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate material delivery schedules between project sites and the Procurement team.
- Direct and oversee the receiving process for incoming materials and equipment.
- Inspect materials and equipment upon delivery and document conditions.
- Manage Material Receiving Reports (MRRs) and Over, Short & Damaged (OS&D) reports.
- Prepare and present material status reports to verify shipments are delivered on schedule.
- Develop and maintain site logistics plans.
- Oversee project warehouses and laydown yards.
- Manage the proper storage and maintenance of materials and equipment.
- Assist Quality Assurance/Quality Control teams with preventive maintenance and recordkeeping.
- Oversee the transfer of materials and equipment to designated subcontractors.
- Identify and communicate material issues that could affect project cost, schedule, or client relationships.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Field Materials Coordinators as needed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 11+ years of direct materials management experience in the engineering and construction industry.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
- Experience with Primavera scheduling reports and material/submittal tracking reports.
