POSITION:
The Corporate Controllers team plays a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity of Rockefeller Capital Management. This individual will play an essential role in supporting the firm’s revenue-related financial operations and reporting. The role requires a strong understanding of financial and accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across functions in a fast-paced environment. As a part of this dynamic team, you will work closely with leaders to maintain high standards of accuracy, efficiency, and transparency. Increasingly, the team is leveraging automation and emerging technology—including Alteryx and artificial intelligence (AI)—to streamline processes and elevate the quality of financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Lead key aspects of the monthly close process, including preparing journal entries and performing revenue account reconciliations
- Ensure timely and accurate recognition of all revenue streams
- Collaborate with other accounting and finance teams to resolve issues and streamline the close process
- Oversee the daily cash process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of cash inflows and outflows
- Assist with preparation of client invoices, partnering with technology to automate manual processes using tools such as Alteryx and AI
- Record client payments and maintain AR sub-ledger within accounting system
- Prepare monthly, quarterly reports, providing variance analysis and actionable insights
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field required.
3 – 5 years of experience in revenue accounting, finance or related roles, preferably within financial services.
SKILLS:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with ability to design and maintain financial models and drive high quality financial presentations
- Hands-on proficiency with Alteryx (or comparable data analytics and automation platforms) to automate data preparation, build repeatable workflows, and improve the speed and accuracy of revenue reporting
- Demonstrated ability to apply artificial intelligence (AI) and generative AI tools to streamline analysis, automate routine tasks, and surface actionable insights that drive process efficiency
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex financial concepts to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands, manage multiple deadlines, and consistently deliver under the cadence of a fast-paced monthly close
- Ability to work independently and participate as a team player in a cross functional environment
- High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

COMPENSATION RANGE:
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $80,000 to $100,000. Base salary for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. In addition, this role may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
