Verify Your Credentials Meet Kansas Licensing Standards
Kansas requires state licensure for most clinical healthcare roles before you can start. Confirm your foreign credentials are evaluated through NACES-approved services early, as the licensing board review adds weeks to your timeline.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Sponsoring Healthcare Roles
Identifying which open positions at Salina Regional actively support visa sponsorship saves time. Use Migrate Mate to filter Healthcare roles by visa type so you apply to positions where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Ask About LCA Filing Timelines During Interviews
The Labor Condition Application must be certified by DOL before USCIS processes your H-1B petition. In healthcare, where start dates often align with licensing approvals, understanding the employer's expected LCA turnaround prevents costly scheduling conflicts.
Secure Your OPT Extension Before Your EAD Expires
If you're on F-1 OPT in a STEM-adjacent healthcare role, file your 24-month extension at least 90 days before your EAD expiration. USCIS processing delays in healthcare occupations have caught candidates off guard.
Prepare a Specialty Occupation Justification for Your Role
USCIS scrutinizes healthcare H-1B petitions where degree requirements aren't explicit in job postings. Work with your employer to document why your specific role requires a specialized degree, not just a general healthcare background.
