Translate Your Credentials Into U.S. Equivalents
TE Connectivity's Electrician roles often require OSHA certifications and state-recognized electrical licenses. Before applying, verify whether your home-country qualifications map to a U.S. Journeyman or Master Electrician credential, since hiring managers screen for these early in the process.
Target TE Connectivity's Manufacturing and Engineering Sites
TE Connectivity operates large-scale production facilities where Electrician demand is highest. Focus your search on plant and factory locations rather than corporate offices, as those sites run the active maintenance and installation work that drives sponsorship-eligible hiring.
Confirm Sponsorship Willingness Before Your Interview
Not every Electrician opening at TE Connectivity is tied to a sponsorship budget. Ask the recruiter directly whether the specific requisition has sponsorship approved before investing time in technical rounds, so you avoid late-stage surprises after an offer is extended.
Understand How TN Status Applies to Electricians
If you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship, the TN visa category covers certain engineering-adjacent roles, but pure trade-based Electrician titles may require the H-1B path instead. Clarify with TE Connectivity's HR team which visa category they intend to file under before signing an offer.
Build Your Timeline Around USCIS Processing Windows
H-1B petitions are subject to the annual lottery, with filing opening April 1 and employment starting October 1 at the earliest. For F-1 OPT holders, confirm your OPT expiration date against this calendar so TE Connectivity's HR team can sequence the filing correctly without a work authorization gap.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Electrician Openings by Visa Type
Browsing TE Connectivity's general careers page won't show you which Electrician postings are open to sponsorship candidates. Use Migrate Mate to filter roles by visa type so you apply only to positions where your immigration status is already accounted for in the hiring plan.

Find Electrician at TE Connectivity JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does TE Connectivity sponsor H-1B visas for Electricians?
Yes, TE Connectivity sponsors H-1B visas for Electrician roles, particularly at its manufacturing and production facilities. Sponsorship availability varies by specific requisition and site, so confirm with the recruiter before advancing in the process. H-1B petitions are subject to USCIS's annual cap and lottery, which affects your start date and overall timeline.
How do I apply for Electrician jobs at TE Connectivity?
Apply through TE Connectivity's official careers portal or browse verified sponsorship-eligible openings on Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa type so you can identify positions where international candidates are actively considered. Tailor your application to highlight hands-on industrial electrical experience, any relevant certifications such as OSHA 30 or state electrical licenses, and familiarity with manufacturing environments that align with TE Connectivity's production operations.
Which visa types does TE Connectivity commonly use for Electrician roles?
TE Connectivity has filed under H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, and EB-2/EB-3 Green Card categories for sponsored employees. For Electrician positions specifically, H-1B and TN are the most common nonimmigrant paths, while EB-3 is the typical Green Card route for skilled trades workers who meet DOL's PERM labor certification requirements.
What qualifications does TE Connectivity expect for sponsored Electrician roles?
TE Connectivity's Electrician openings typically require a journeyman-level background in industrial or commercial electrical systems, familiarity with programmable logic controllers, and experience in a manufacturing or electronics production environment. OSHA safety certifications and a state electrical license are frequently listed as requirements, and candidates without a direct U.S. credential equivalent should be prepared to document foreign qualification equivalency during the hiring process.
How do I understand the timeline for getting an Electrician role sponsored at TE Connectivity?
Timeline depends on which visa category applies to you. F-1 OPT candidates can often start immediately within their authorized period, while H-1B candidates face the April lottery and an October 1 start date minimum. Green Card sponsorship through PERM requires a USCIS-compliant DOL recruitment process before filing, which can add a year or more to the overall path. Aligning your offer acceptance with TE Connectivity's HR team early gives you the clearest picture of realistic start dates.
