Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
TE Connectivity's Industrial Engineer roles require a degree in industrial, manufacturing, or systems engineering. A general engineering degree paired with unrelated experience weakens your H-1B specialty occupation case, so confirm your field maps directly before applying.
Target TE Connectivity's manufacturing and operations sites
TE Connectivity staffs Industrial Engineers at its production facilities, not just corporate offices. Roles tied to physical manufacturing lines are more likely to involve hands-on sponsorship experience within HR, which smooths the filing process compared to newer or leaner sites.
Clarify sponsorship scope during the offer stage
Ask explicitly whether the offer covers H-1B filing, Green Card sponsorship through PERM, or both. Some TE Connectivity business units handle immigration centrally while others defer to local managers, so confirming this before signing protects you from surprises later.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Industrial Engineer roles by sponsorship type
TE Connectivity posts Industrial Engineer openings across multiple business units and locations. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles where visa sponsorship is confirmed, so you spend time on applications that match your visa category.
Prepare process improvement documentation before interviews
TE Connectivity Industrial Engineer interviews in electronics manufacturing typically focus on lean, Six Sigma, and cycle time reduction experience. Documenting specific projects with measurable outcomes strengthens both your candidacy and the employer's ability to justify the specialty occupation in your H-1B petition.

Find Industrial Engineer at TE Connectivity JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does TE Connectivity sponsor H-1B visas for Industrial Engineers?
Yes, TE Connectivity sponsors H-1B visas for Industrial Engineer roles. The company operates large-scale electronics and hardware manufacturing facilities where demand for qualified engineers is consistent, and its HR infrastructure supports the full H-1B filing process. Sponsorship availability can vary by business unit and site, so confirm the specifics with the hiring team once you reach the offer stage.
Which visa types does TE Connectivity commonly use for Industrial Engineer roles?
TE Connectivity uses H-1B as the primary work visa for Industrial Engineers, and the company also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates entering engineering roles. For longer-term employees, TE Connectivity has sponsored Green Cards through the EB-2 and EB-3 PERM labor certification process. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose engineering specialty qualifies under USMCA.
What qualifications and experience does TE Connectivity expect for Industrial Engineer roles?
TE Connectivity typically looks for a bachelor's degree or higher in industrial, manufacturing, or systems engineering. Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, process optimization, or production systems is strongly preferred, particularly given the company's focus on electronics and connector manufacturing. Roles at production sites often require familiarity with assembly line workflows, quality management systems, and supply chain coordination.
How do I apply for Industrial Engineer jobs at TE Connectivity?
Applications go through TE Connectivity's careers portal, where you can filter by job function and location. To find roles where visa sponsorship is confirmed upfront, browse open Industrial Engineer positions at TE Connectivity on Migrate Mate, which surfaces sponsoring employers and lets you filter by visa type before you apply. Tailor your resume to highlight process engineering and manufacturing experience relevant to the specific site or division.
How do I plan my timeline if TE Connectivity offers to sponsor my H-1B?
USCIS opens H-1B registration in March each year for an October 1 start date. If you receive an offer and your registration is selected in the lottery, TE Connectivity's immigration team files the full petition between April and June. Factor in that standard USCIS adjudication takes several months, while premium processing typically brings a decision within a few weeks. If you're currently on OPT, confirm your authorization end date against this timeline before accepting.
