Align your credentials to TE's hardware focus
TE Connectivity hires Electrical Engineers for connector design, signal integrity, and embedded systems work. Frame your resume around PCB layout, high-speed interfaces, or electromechanical components rather than software-heavy roles, which rarely map to their open requisitions.
Target product lines with consistent hiring
TE's Transportation, Industrial, and Aerospace segments regularly post Electrical Engineer openings. Filtering your search by these divisions puts you in front of teams that hire repeatedly, which signals stronger familiarity with sponsorship workflows than a brand-new business unit would.
Understand where H-1B fits in the offer process
TE Connectivity files H-1B petitions on behalf of engineers after an offer is accepted. USCIS opens registration in March, with a lottery for cap-subject cases. Timing your offer acceptance before the registration window closes in late March gives you the best shot at cap selection.
Use Migrate Mate to identify active TE Connectivity openings
Electrical Engineer roles at TE move quickly and aren't always flagged as sponsorship-eligible on general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to browse current TE Connectivity listings that are verified for visa sponsorship, so you're not applying blind to roles that won't support your status.
Prepare for the PERM labor market test early
If TE pursues a Green Card for you through EB-2 or EB-3, the DOL requires a PERM labor market test before filing. This process can take a year or more. Documenting your specialized qualifications clearly from day one helps your employer build a defensible job description for the PERM application.

Find Electrical Engineer at TE Connectivity JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does TE Connectivity sponsor H-1B visas for Electrical Engineers?
Yes, TE Connectivity sponsors H-1B visas for Electrical Engineers. The company initiates the H-1B petition after an offer is extended and accepted. Because the H-1B is subject to an annual cap and lottery, timing matters. USCIS registration opens in March each year, and TE's legal team handles the filing on your behalf once you clear selection.
Which visa types does TE Connectivity commonly use for Electrical Engineer roles?
TE Connectivity supports several visa pathways for Electrical Engineers, including H-1B, F-1 OPT and CPT, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, J-1, and employment-based Green Cards through EB-2 and EB-3 PERM. The right pathway depends on your nationality, current status, and how far along you are in your career. TN is often the fastest option for eligible candidates already in the U.S.
What qualifications does TE Connectivity expect for Electrical Engineer positions?
Most Electrical Engineer roles at TE Connectivity require a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline. Roles in connector and sensor design often emphasize signal integrity, PCB design, or electromechanical systems experience. Senior positions typically expect hands-on product development background in automotive, aerospace, or industrial electronics. A master's degree can strengthen your profile for H-1B specialty occupation classification.
How do I apply for Electrical Engineer jobs at TE Connectivity?
You can browse and apply for Electrical Engineer openings at TE Connectivity directly through their careers portal. To focus specifically on roles open to visa sponsorship, use Migrate Mate, which filters TE Connectivity listings by sponsorship eligibility so you're not spending time on positions that won't support your immigration status. Tailor your application to the specific product line or segment the role sits in.
How do I manage the timing between a job offer and my visa filing at TE Connectivity?
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your remaining authorization period before accepting an offer and make sure TE's onboarding timeline fits within it. For H-1B, USCIS requires your employer to file during the April filing window following March lottery selection. For TN, filing can happen at the border or a U.S. consulate and is typically resolved within days, making it one of the more predictable timelines available.
