Titan America is seeking a Cement Plant Outage Planner to lead the planning, preparation, scheduling, and coordination of major maintenance outages at Keystone Cement. Reporting to the Director of Maintenance within Titan America’s Cement & Engineering team, this role will be responsible for ensuring outages are thoroughly planned and positioned for safe, efficient, and on-time execution. The Outage Planner will work closely with plant maintenance and operations teams, engineering, procurement, contractors, and corporate technical resources to develop comprehensive outage plans, schedules, resource requirements, budgets, and execution strategies. The role will also support the continued development of standardized outage-planning practices across Titan America’s cement operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the detailed planning and preparation of major scheduled plant outages, shutdowns, and significant maintenance activities at Keystone Cement.
- Develop comprehensive outage work scopes, schedules, manpower plans, contractor requirements, material needs, equipment requirements, and cost estimates.
- Build and maintain integrated outage schedules using appropriate planning and scheduling tools, identifying critical-path activities and potential execution constraints.
- Partner with plant maintenance, operations, reliability, and engineering teams to define outage scope and ensure work is appropriately prioritized and planned.
- Coordinate with Procurement to ensure materials, parts, equipment, and contractor services are identified and secured well in advance of scheduled outages.
- Develop detailed job plans including labor requirements, estimated hours, tools, equipment, materials, permits, safety requirements, and work sequencing.
- Facilitate outage planning meetings and maintain clear accountability for action items, milestones, and readiness activities.
- Establish and track outage-readiness milestones leading up to each shutdown and escalate risks that could impact safety, cost, schedule, or production.
- Coordinate contractor planning, mobilization requirements, site logistics, and work sequencing in partnership with plant leadership.
- Support safe outage execution by ensuring work packages incorporate applicable safety procedures, permits, lockout/tagout requirements, and contractor expectations.
- Track outage execution against the established schedule and support daily progress reporting, schedule updates, and recovery planning when work deviates from plan.
- Monitor outage spending against approved budgets and provide visibility to cost commitments, forecasted costs, and variances.
- Lead post-outage reviews to capture lessons learned, analyze schedule and cost performance, and identify opportunities to improve future shutdowns.
- Develop and maintain outage-planning standards, templates, schedules, and best practices that can be leveraged across Titan America’s cement operations.
- Partner with the Director of Maintenance and broader Cement & Engineering team on long-term maintenance planning, major repair programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support coordination of capital projects that overlap with or are executed during major plant outages.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent heavy-industrial maintenance and outage-planning experience will be considered.
- 5+ years of maintenance planning, outage planning, project scheduling, or maintenance execution experience in cement, mining, aggregates, power generation, steel, chemicals, or other heavy industrial environments.
- Cement manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience planning and executing complex plant shutdowns or major maintenance outages.
- Strong understanding of industrial maintenance practices, including mechanical and electrical maintenance, contractor management, and work planning.
- Experience with CMMS/EAM systems and project scheduling software.
- Strong scheduling, organizational, analytical, and project-management skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple contractors, internal resources, and competing work priorities within compressed outage schedules.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with plant leadership, hourly maintenance teams, engineers, contractors, and corporate functions.
- Strong commitment to safety and experience working within established industrial safety and permitting requirements.

Focus on Green Card-eligible roles
Titan America's sponsorship activity centers on permanent residency pathways rather than temporary work visas. Prioritize roles in operations, engineering, and materials science where EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship is most likely to be offered to long-term hires.
Understand the visa types Titan America supports
Titan America sponsors EB-2, EB-3, TN, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT visas. If you're on OPT or CPT, target internship and entry-level roles in their materials and chemicals operations where academic training authorization is routinely accepted.
Lead with long-term commitment in your application
Companies that sponsor Green Cards value retention. In your cover letter and interviews, emphasize your interest in building a career within the Chemicals and Materials sector specifically, not just securing initial work authorization.
Target technical and engineering functions
Chemicals and Materials companies like Titan America typically sponsor international talent in highly specialized technical roles. Focus your application on process engineering, materials science, quality assurance, and similar functions where domain expertise justifies sponsorship investment.
Use TN status as a pathway if you qualify
Canadian and Mexican nationals should note that Titan America sponsors TN visas. TN status moves faster than most Green Card timelines, making it a strong entry point. Search for open roles at Titan America on Migrate Mate, which surfaces verified sponsors filterable by visa type.
Apply early and expect a longer hiring cycle
Green Card sponsorship involves PERM labor certification, which adds time to the hiring process. Titan America's HR teams plan around this, so applying well before your work authorization expires gives both sides the runway needed to complete sponsorship comfortably.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Titan America sponsor H-1B visas?
Based on available sponsorship data, Titan America does not have a track record of H-1B visa sponsorship. The company's international hiring has focused on Green Card pathways such as EB-2 and EB-3, along with TN visas for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals, and F-1 OPT and CPT for students. If H-1B visa sponsorship is a requirement, clarify directly with Titan America's HR team during the interview process.
What visa types does Titan America sponsor?
Titan America sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, TN visas, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT. This mix suggests the company actively supports both permanent residency for experienced professionals in the Chemicals and Materials industry and temporary authorization for students and early-career candidates entering through academic programs.
Which departments or roles at Titan America are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
In the Chemicals and Materials sector, sponsorship is most common in technically specialized roles where domain expertise is difficult to source domestically. At Titan America, this typically points to engineering, materials science, manufacturing operations, and quality control functions. Roles requiring advanced degrees in relevant fields are the strongest candidates for EB-2 sponsorship in particular.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at Titan America?
Migrate Mate is the most efficient way to find roles at Titan America that come with real sponsorship history attached. Unlike general job boards, Migrate Mate verifies sponsorship track records so you can filter by visa type and identify companies like Titan America that have a documented history of supporting international candidates through the hiring process.
How do I approach the application timeline when targeting Green Card sponsorship at Titan America?
Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 involves PERM labor certification before USCIS petition filing, which means the process can take a year or more from the time of hire. Apply as early as your work authorization timeline allows, communicate your status transparently during screening, and confirm the company's willingness to initiate PERM before accepting an offer.
