Target supply chain and operations roles
Toyota Tsusho America's core business is distribution and wholesale logistics. Roles in supply chain management, procurement, and operations align closely with where the company has historically invested in sponsored talent, focus your applications there.
Understand the Green Card pathway focus
Toyota Tsusho America's sponsorship activity leans toward permanent residency rather than temporary work visas. If you're seeking long-term work authorization through EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, this company's profile is worth prioritizing in your job search.
Highlight international business experience
As a subsidiary of a major Japanese trading conglomerate, Toyota Tsusho America values candidates with cross-border supply chain or international trade experience. Emphasizing multilingual skills or global logistics knowledge can strengthen your application significantly.
Prepare for a structured corporate hiring process
Large trading company subsidiaries typically run multi-stage interviews with HR and department heads. Research Toyota Tsusho America's business divisions beforehand and be ready to connect your background directly to their distribution and wholesale operations.
Check for OPT and CPT-eligible openings
Toyota Tsusho America has sponsored F-1 OPT and CPT candidates, making it accessible for students and recent graduates. When searching for roles, use Migrate Mate to filter by verified sponsorship type so you can confirm OPT eligibility before applying.
Consider the TN visa if you're Canadian or Mexican
Toyota Tsusho America sponsors TN visas, which is a practical option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional roles. This pathway skips the lottery entirely, review whether your occupation and degree meet TN classification requirements before applying.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Toyota Tsusho America sponsor H-1B visas?
Based on available sponsorship data, Toyota Tsusho America does not have a recent track record of sponsoring H-1B visas. The company's sponsorship activity has focused on Green Card pathways, specifically EB-2 and EB-3, along with F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN visa, and J-1 visas. If H-1B visa sponsorship is a requirement for you, it's worth confirming directly with the hiring team during the recruitment process.
What visa types does Toyota Tsusho America sponsor?
Toyota Tsusho America sponsors a range of visa and work authorization types, including EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN visas, and J-1 visas. The company's sponsorship profile skews toward permanent residency pathways, which makes it a practical target for candidates looking to build a long-term career in the U.S. rather than just secure short-term work authorization.
Which roles or departments at Toyota Tsusho America are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Given Toyota Tsusho America's position in distribution and wholesale, roles tied to supply chain management, logistics, procurement, and trade operations are where sponsored hiring tends to concentrate. Corporate functions with specialized expertise, finance, business development, and technical operations supporting the trading business, may also see sponsorship activity, particularly for Green Card petitions where the company has shown consistent support.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at Toyota Tsusho America?
The most reliable approach is to search directly on Migrate Mate, which surfaces verified sponsoring employers and lets you filter by company and visa type. Because Toyota Tsusho America's sponsorship has focused on Green Cards and select work authorization categories, filtering specifically for those visa types helps you identify the most relevant openings and avoid roles where sponsorship is unlikely to be offered.
How do I improve my chances of getting sponsored by Toyota Tsusho America?
Align your background with the company's core business in distribution and wholesale, supply chain, international trade, and logistics experience are genuinely relevant here, not just resume keywords. Since Toyota Tsusho America is a Japanese-owned trading company, candidates with cross-border business experience or Japanese language skills often stand out. Applying to roles that match your visa eligibility from the outset saves time for both sides and signals that you understand the sponsorship process.
