Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Operations Technician Jobs at Veolia Jobs
Verify Your Credentials Match Facility Requirements
Veolia Operations Technician roles often require state-issued licenses like a water treatment or wastewater operator certificate. Confirm your credentials are transferable or reciprocal in the state where the facility is located before applying.
Target Veolia's Municipal Contract Sites Specifically
Veolia wins long-term municipal contracts for water and waste operations, which creates stable, multi-year headcount needs. Roles tied to these contracts are more likely to support visa sponsorship because turnover disrupts regulated facility operations.
Start OPT Applications Before Your Authorization Window Closes
F-1 students should apply for Operations Technician roles at Veolia at least three months before OPT begins. USCIS processing for the EAD alone can take 90 days, and Veolia's onboarding for regulated facilities adds additional lead time.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter for Veolia Openings by Visa Type
Search Migrate Mate to find current Operations Technician postings at Veolia filtered by the visa category you hold or need. This saves time cross-referencing job boards and narrows results to roles where sponsorship has been confirmed.

Find Operations Technician at Veolia JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Veolia sponsor H-1B visas for Operations Technicians?
Yes, Veolia has sponsored H-1B visas for Operations Technicians. Because these roles support regulated water and waste infrastructure, Veolia treats them as critical to facility operations, which supports the business case for sponsorship. You should confirm sponsorship availability directly with the hiring team during the interview process, since not every facility-level position qualifies.
Which visa types does Veolia commonly use for Operations Technician roles?
Veolia has supported H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for Operations Technician positions. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupations. OPT and CPT suit students completing environmental or engineering programs. Green Card pathways through PERM are typically discussed after an initial employment period.
What qualifications does Veolia expect for Operations Technician positions?
Veolia generally expects a background in environmental science, civil engineering, chemistry, or a related field, along with any state-required operator licenses for water or wastewater treatment. Hands-on experience with SCADA systems, chemical dosing, or compliance reporting strengthens your application. Some sites require specific certifications tied to the facility's operating permit, so review the job posting carefully for location-specific requirements.
How do I apply for Operations Technician jobs at Veolia?
You can find and apply for Operations Technician roles at Veolia through Migrate Mate, which lists current openings filtered by visa sponsorship type. Veolia posts positions by facility region, so searching by location helps identify sites actively hiring. Before applying, confirm your operator license is valid in the relevant state, since Veolia's hiring process for regulated facilities moves faster when credentials are already in order.
How do I plan my timeline if Veolia offers H-1B sponsorship for an Operations Technician role?
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed in April for an October 1 start date, meaning your offer needs to be in place by March at the latest. If you're already on OPT with a STEM extension, you can begin work immediately while Veolia files the H-1B, giving you up to three years of authorized employment. Confirm whether Veolia will use premium processing to reduce the approval timeline from several months to around 15 business days.
