Frame your credentials around live commerce deals
Whatnot operates in live shopping and marketplace retail, so your deal experience, financial modeling, and M&A exposure should connect directly to platform economics and creator-economy transactions, not just generic corporate finance.
Target Whatnot during its active hiring cycles
Use Migrate Mate to filter Corporate Development Analyst openings at Whatnot by visa type, so you're applying when roles aligned to your work authorization are actually open rather than cold-applying during slow periods.
Highlight financial due diligence in retail tech
Whatnot's corporate development work involves valuing marketplace and retail businesses with non-traditional revenue models. Demonstrating experience with GMV-based valuations, platform unit economics, or e-commerce due diligence makes your application materially stronger than a generalist finance background.

Does Whatnot sponsor H-1B visas for Corporate Development Analysts?
Yes, Whatnot sponsors H-1B visas for Corporate Development Analysts. The process requires your employer to first file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor, then submit an H-1B petition to USCIS. If you're currently on F-1 OPT, timing your offer to align with the March cap registration window is critical to avoid a work authorization gap.
How do I apply for Corporate Development Analyst jobs at Whatnot?
You can browse open Corporate Development Analyst roles at Whatnot directly through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm your category is supported before applying. Whatnot's recruiting process typically includes a recruiter screen, a technical modeling or case exercise, and final-round interviews with the corp dev and strategy team.
Which visa types does Whatnot commonly sponsor for Corporate Development Analysts?
Whatnot has sponsored Corporate Development Analysts across H-1B, E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, and EB-2/EB-3 Green Card pathways. E-3 is available exclusively to Australian citizens, and TN applies to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. Your nationality and current status determine which of these applies to your situation.
What qualifications does Whatnot expect for a Corporate Development Analyst role?
Whatnot typically looks for candidates with a background in investment banking, private equity, or strategy consulting, combined with strong financial modeling and valuation skills. Experience with marketplace businesses, consumer tech, or retail transaction structures is a meaningful differentiator. A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field is generally the baseline requirement for specialty occupation classification under most sponsored visa types.
How do I plan my visa timeline when pursuing a Corporate Development Analyst role at Whatnot?
Timeline depends heavily on your visa type. E-3 and TN holders can start relatively quickly once an offer is in place, often within weeks. H-1B cap-subject candidates need to align their offer to the annual March registration window, with an October 1 employment start. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship, if offered, runs on a separate multi-year track that typically begins after you've joined the company.
