Frame your credentials for specialty occupation
USCIS requires Corporate Development Analyst roles to qualify as specialty occupations. Make sure your degree is in finance, accounting, economics, or a closely related field, not a general business degree, before you apply.
Target Google's rotational and MBA pipelines
Google hires Corporate Development Analysts heavily through MBA programs and structured rotational tracks. Recruiting through these pipelines puts you in front of sponsorship-ready hiring managers rather than generalist posting queues.
Time your application around H-1B cap deadlines
If you need a new H-1B, USCIS registration opens in early March for an October 1 start date. Align your offer timeline so your start date lands after cap selection, giving Google's legal team enough runway to file.
Distinguish yourself with deal execution experience
Google's Corporate Development team evaluates candidates on live deal experience, not just financial modeling. Prior M&A transaction work, due diligence exposure, or investment banking at a recognized firm strengthens your petition's specialty occupation narrative.
Confirm E-3 or H-1B1 eligibility before the offer stage
Australian and Chilean or Singaporean nationals can sidestep the H-1B lottery entirely through the E-3 or H-1B1 pathways. Browse open Corporate Development Analyst roles filtered by these visa types on Migrate Mate to identify sponsoring positions before you apply.
Understand how Google handles LCA filing
Google files a Labor Condition Application with DOL before submitting your H-1B petition. The LCA locks in your prevailing wage level, so confirm the offered role's wage tier aligns with your experience level during negotiation, not after the petition is filed.

Does Google sponsor H-1B visas for Corporate Development Analysts?
Yes, Google sponsors H-1B visas for Corporate Development Analysts. The role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards because it requires a bachelor's degree or higher in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field. Google has a dedicated immigration legal team that manages the full petition process, including the required Labor Condition Application filing with DOL.
Which visa types does Google commonly sponsor for Corporate Development Analyst roles?
Google sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for Corporate Development Analyst positions. H-1B is the most common pathway for candidates from most countries. Australian citizens can use the E-3, which has no lottery and allows consular processing. Chilean and Singaporean nationals may qualify for the H-1B1, which also bypasses the H-1B cap.
How do I apply for Corporate Development Analyst jobs at Google?
Applications go through Google's careers portal at careers.google.com, where Corporate Development Analyst roles are listed under the Finance or Strategy functions. Tailoring your resume to highlight M&A transaction experience and financial modeling is important. You can also browse open Corporate Development Analyst roles at Google filtered by visa sponsorship type on Migrate Mate, which surfaces sponsorship-ready postings directly.
What qualifications does Google expect for Corporate Development Analyst candidates?
Google's Corporate Development team typically expects a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or accounting, with an MBA or CFA considered a strong differentiator for more senior analyst tracks. Practical deal experience from investment banking, private equity, or management consulting is weighted heavily. Candidates who can demonstrate prior involvement in due diligence, valuation, or post-merger integration stand out in the screening process.
How do I time my job search if I need H-1B sponsorship from Google?
USCIS opens H-1B registration in early March for a fiscal year that starts October 1. If you're on OPT or a visa with a pending gap, you'll want an offer in hand by February to give Google's legal team enough time to register before the deadline. Cap-exempt pathways like E-3 and H-1B1 don't have this constraint and can be filed year-round with a faster turnaround.
