Frame your credentials around deal work
The RealReal's corporate development function focuses on M&A, partnerships, and strategic investments in the recommerce space. Tailor your resume to show transaction experience, financial modeling, and due diligence, not just general finance or analyst skills.
Target roles posted outside H-1B lottery season
Corporate development openings at The RealReal appear throughout the year. Roles posted after the April lottery window close with more flexibility for cap-exempt options or OPT extensions, since H-1B cap-subject petitions won't be in play until the next cycle.
Ask about LCA filing timing during offer negotiations
The Labor Condition Application, filed with the DOL, must be certified before your H-1B petition can be submitted to USCIS. Confirm with your recruiter that the team has initiated this step before you give notice at a current role.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsorship openings
Sorting through job boards for roles that actually lead to visa sponsorship wastes time. Migrate Mate lets you filter Corporate Development Analyst openings at The RealReal by visa type so you're only applying to positions that match your authorization status.
Prepare for the specialty occupation standard early
H-1B approval for corporate development roles requires demonstrating the position qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards. Gather academic transcripts and any professional credentials that show a direct link between your field of study and the role's responsibilities.

Find Corporate Development Analyst at The RealReal JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does The RealReal sponsor H-1B visas for Corporate Development Analysts?
Yes, The RealReal has sponsored H-1B visas for corporate development and analytical roles. Sponsorship is not automatic with every offer, so you'll want to raise your visa status early in the recruiter conversation. The RealReal operates as an E-Verify employer, which is a standard prerequisite for companies filing H-1B petitions with USCIS.
How do I apply for Corporate Development Analyst jobs at The RealReal?
Applications go through The RealReal's careers page or through Migrate Mate, where you can filter openings by visa sponsorship type. Corporate development roles at The RealReal tend to require a finance or business background with exposure to M&A or strategic partnerships. Tailoring your application to the recommerce and luxury resale context strengthens your candidacy.
Which visa types are commonly used for Corporate Development Analyst roles at The RealReal?
The most common pathways are F-1 OPT or CPT for recent graduates, H-1B for cap-subject sponsorship, and TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. For longer-term authorization, The RealReal has also supported EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based Green Card sponsorship, which involves PERM labor certification through the DOL before USCIS adjudication.
What qualifications does The RealReal expect for Corporate Development Analyst candidates?
The RealReal's corporate development team looks for candidates with a background in investment banking, private equity, or management consulting, with strong financial modeling and valuation skills. Experience in e-commerce, consumer marketplaces, or retail technology is a meaningful differentiator. An MBA or undergraduate degree in finance, economics, or a related field is typically expected for analyst-level positions.
How do I understand the H-1B filing timeline for a Corporate Development Analyst offer at The RealReal?
H-1B cap-subject petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start date, so timing your offer accordingly matters. Your employer files the Labor Condition Application with the DOL first, then submits the I-129 petition to USCIS. If you're selected in the lottery, your employment can begin October 1, with cap-gap protection covering any authorized gap if you're transitioning from F-1 OPT.
