Target tech and engineering roles first
The RealReal's sponsorship history skews toward technical positions. If you're in software engineering, data, or platform infrastructure, you're applying in the part of the business most likely to support a visa petition.
Understand the luxury resale business model
The RealReal authenticates and resells luxury goods, blending e-commerce with physical operations. Showing familiarity with marketplace dynamics, authentication technology, or supply chain logistics makes you a stronger candidate worth sponsoring.
Ask about Green Card sponsorship early
The RealReal has a track record of sponsoring both H-1B and permanent residence. If long-term stability matters to you, raise Green Card sponsorship during the offer stage, not after signing, to set expectations clearly.
Check for F-1 OPT roles if you're a recent graduate
The RealReal sponsors F-1 OPT, which makes it accessible for new graduates before the H-1B lottery. Use Migrate Mate to filter for verified sponsors that support OPT so you can target the right companies efficiently.
Align your application to their growth priorities
Luxury resale is expanding rapidly. Candidates who connect their skills to scaling authentication, improving buyer experience, or growing marketplace supply chains present a clear business case that justifies sponsorship investment.
Apply early in the calendar year if H-1B timing matters
H-1B cap filings happen in March for an October start. If you need cap-subject sponsorship from The RealReal, start conversations well before year-end so there's time to prepare your petition before the registration window opens.

Find The RealReal JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does The RealReal sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, The RealReal does sponsor H-1B visas. Sponsorship is selective rather than high-volume, so it tends to be concentrated in roles where specialized skills are harder to fill domestically, particularly in technical and product functions. If you're targeting an H-1B, focus your application on those departments and confirm sponsorship willingness directly during the interview process.
Which visa types does The RealReal sponsor?
The RealReal sponsors H-1B and Green Card (EB-2 and EB-3) visas, along with F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates. TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals are also supported. This range means both early-career international candidates and those seeking permanent residence have a path worth exploring.
Which departments or roles at The RealReal are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Technical roles in software engineering, data science, and product development are the most consistent candidates for sponsorship at companies like The RealReal. Operations and supply chain roles tied to the authentication and logistics side of the business may also qualify. Roles requiring general business skills without a specialized degree are less likely to meet H-1B specialty occupation requirements.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at The RealReal?
Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors and lets you filter job listings by company sponsorship history, making it straightforward to find open roles at The RealReal that are realistically open to visa candidates. Rather than guessing which postings are sponsorship-friendly, you can search with confidence using actual filing data as the filter.
How do I time my application to The RealReal around visa deadlines?
Timing depends on your current status. If you need H-1B cap sponsorship, you'll want an offer in place before March registration, meaning you should be interviewing in late fall or early winter. For OPT extensions or Green Card sponsorship, timelines are more flexible but should be discussed explicitly at the offer stage to avoid surprises after you start.
