Frame your portfolio around resale data problems
The RealReal's core business depends on dynamic pricing, authentication fraud detection, and inventory forecasting. Build portfolio projects that mirror these use cases so hiring managers see applied relevance before your sponsorship status becomes a conversation.
Target open roles aligned to merchandising analytics
The RealReal posts Data Science Analyst roles that frequently support category management and buyer trend analysis. Roles tied to revenue-generating teams tend to move faster through internal headcount approval, which directly affects how quickly a sponsorship conversation gets escalated.
Ask about LCA filing during the offer stage
Before signing, confirm your recruiter has looped in legal or HR to begin the Labor Condition Application with the DOL. An LCA must be certified before USCIS can process your H-1B petition, and delays here push your start date even if the offer is already signed.
Use Migrate Mate to identify active Data Science Analyst openings
Searching broadly across job boards makes it harder to filter for roles with confirmed sponsorship history. Use Migrate Mate to surface Data Science Analyst positions at The RealReal where visa sponsorship is a documented part of the hiring process.
Align your degree field to specialty occupation requirements
USCIS requires that your degree field directly relate to the Data Science Analyst role. If your degree is in a adjacent field like economics or statistics rather than computer science, gather documentation showing how your coursework maps to the technical requirements of the position.

Find Data Science Analyst at The RealReal JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does The RealReal sponsor H-1B visas for Data Science Analysts?
Yes, The RealReal has sponsored H-1B visas for data and analytics roles. For Data Science Analyst positions specifically, sponsorship is most common when the role requires specialized skills in areas like pricing modeling, fraud detection, or inventory analytics. Bring up sponsorship early in the recruiter conversation so HR can confirm the position is eligible before you reach the offer stage.
How do I apply for Data Science Analyst jobs at The RealReal?
Applications go through The RealReal's careers page or through job boards that list their open roles. Migrate Mate is a focused option if you want to filter specifically for Data Science Analyst positions at The RealReal where visa sponsorship has been part of the hiring process. Tailor your application to highlight experience with e-commerce data, resale pricing, or consumer behavior analytics, since those areas map directly to what The RealReal's data teams work on.
Which visa types does The RealReal commonly use for Data Science Analyst roles?
The RealReal has sponsored H-1B visas and supports F-1 OPT and CPT for eligible candidates, which covers most international students coming out of U.S. graduate programs in data science or statistics. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying technical roles. For longer-term pathways, EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship are available, though those typically come after you've established a track record with the company.
What qualifications does The RealReal expect for Data Science Analyst roles?
Most Data Science Analyst positions at The RealReal expect a bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, computer science, or applied mathematics. Hands-on experience with Python or R, SQL, and machine learning frameworks is standard. Candidates who can demonstrate work on pricing models, recommendation systems, or fraud analytics tend to stand out because those problems are central to how The RealReal operates its resale platform.
How do I handle timing if my F-1 OPT expires before an H-1B is approved?
If you're on F-1 OPT and your employer files an H-1B cap-subject petition by April 1, you're protected by cap-gap coverage, which extends your work authorization through September 30 of that year. USCIS must receive the petition while your OPT is still valid for cap-gap to apply. Coordinate closely with The RealReal's HR team on the filing deadline so there's no gap in your authorization between OPT expiration and H-1B start.
