Find Data Analyst at The RealReal JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does The RealReal sponsor H-1B visas for Data Analysts?
Yes, The RealReal has a documented history of H-1B sponsorship for Data Analyst roles. Because H-1B is cap-subject, your employer must register you in March for an October 1 start date. If you're already on OPT or CPT, your timeline will depend on aligning your current authorization with the next available registration window.
Which visa types are commonly used for Data Analyst roles at The RealReal?
The RealReal sponsors H-1B, EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas for analytical roles. F-1 OPT and CPT are typical entry points for recent graduates. TN is a faster path for Canadian and Mexican nationals. H-1B and the EB categories are the standard long-term options for everyone else.
What qualifications does The RealReal expect for Data Analyst roles?
Expect a bachelor's degree in statistics, computer science, economics, or a quantitative field. Proficiency in SQL is consistently listed as a requirement, with Python or R preferred. Experience with e-commerce metrics, A/B testing, or marketplace analytics is a meaningful differentiator, since The RealReal's data problems are specific to luxury resale operations.
How do I apply for Data Analyst jobs at The RealReal?
You can browse open Data Analyst roles at The RealReal directly through Migrate Mate, which filters for visa-sponsoring employers so you're not wasting applications. Tailor your resume to highlight marketplace or e-commerce analytics experience. The RealReal's recruiting process typically includes a take-home SQL or analytics case study, so prepare for that early in the process.
How do I manage the timing between my OPT expiration and an H-1B approval at The RealReal?
If your OPT expires before October 1 and your H-1B is selected in the lottery, you can use a cap-gap extension to remain in valid status. USCIS automatically grants this bridge period when your OPT EAD expires during a pending or approved H-1B petition. Confirm your I-20 reflects the cap-gap extension with your DSO before your OPT end date.
