About WorkOS
WorkOS builds modern developer tools and APIs that make it easy for companies to become Enterprise Ready. Our platform powers authentication, identity, authorization, and other critical infrastructure that developers need to securely scale their products to large organizations.
We recently raised a $100M Series C, valuing the company at $2B, led by Meritech and Sapphire with participation from Greenoaks, Craft, Abstract, and Audacious. WorkOS powers enterprise features for many of the fastest-growing AI companies, including OpenAI, Cursor, and Perplexity, Vercel, and Plaid.
As AI reshapes software, WorkOS is at the frontier of Human and Agent Authentication, Identity, and Access Control—helping companies answer a new critical question: who are your agents, and what are they allowed to do? Our fast-growing customer base includes hundreds of modern software companies building the next generation of enterprise-ready products.
About the role
The product team at WorkOS is built for people who want to work on complex problems with real stakes. Our users are developers and technical buyers at fast-growing companies — they have strong opinions, high standards, and they'll tell you exactly what works and what doesn't. Our engineers have sharp product instincts and want to collaborate with PMs who match them.
This is a role with genuine scope. You'll own product areas end-to-end — from identifying the right problem to driving it through discovery, design, engineering, and launch. You'll think broadly across the product surface, go deep on specific problems, and operate with a level of autonomy that's rare at most companies.
- Own specific product areas with full accountability for outcomes — from discovery through delivery and iteration
- Talk to customers regularly and synthesize what you learn into clear, prioritized product direction
- Partner tightly with engineering and design to move from concept to shipped product quickly
- Define success metrics and use them to evaluate whether what you shipped actually worked
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and GTM to bring new features and products to market effectively
- Identify 0-to-1 opportunities — things that don't exist yet but should — and drive them from blank page to launch
- Make hard prioritization calls with limited information and defend them clearly
- Contribute to the broader product strategy and roadmap as the company scales
What we're looking for
Must-haves
- B2B SaaS experience — you understand the developer or enterprise buyer and have shipped products for them
- One of: deep domain knowledge in auth, identity, or developer tooling, or a strong track record building developer-facing products specifically
- Real 0-to-1 experience — you've started something from scratch, not just inherited a roadmap
- Customer obsession in practice, not just on a resume — you talk to users constantly and it visibly shapes what you build
- Bias to action — you move fast, make decisions without perfect information, and iterate rather than waiting for consensus
- Strong cross-functional collaboration — you've worked closely with design, engineering, and marketing, and you know how to bring those relationships to get the best work out of a team
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with pricing and packaging decisions — understanding how product and monetization interact
- Background at a company with a PLG motion or developer-first go-to-market
Logistics
- Based in the United States — SF or NYC is a plus but not required
- Willingness to travel roughly once a month for team or customer meetings

Target roles that align with E-3 eligibility
WorkOS sponsors E-3 visas, which are exclusive to Australian citizens. Focus your applications on technical and engineering roles where your degree directly matches the job requirements, that alignment is what makes E-3 sponsorship straightforward for employers.
Understand WorkOS's product before applying
WorkOS builds authentication and enterprise readiness tools for developers. Candidates who can speak fluently about developer experience, API design, or enterprise SaaS during interviews demonstrate exactly the specialized knowledge that justifies sponsorship for a technical employer.
Apply during active hiring cycles
Sponsorship decisions at smaller tech companies like WorkOS often depend on headcount planning. Applying when a role first opens, rather than weeks in, gives you the best chance of getting serious consideration before a hiring manager commits to a non-sponsored candidate.
Be upfront about your visa needs early
WorkOS has demonstrated willingness to sponsor E-3 visas for the right candidates. Raising your visa situation early in the process, rather than after an offer, avoids surprises and signals professionalism, which experienced tech recruiters appreciate.
Look for roles in product, engineering, and growth
Developer-focused companies like WorkOS typically hire across engineering, product, and go-to-market functions. These are the departments most likely to have specialized degree requirements, making them stronger candidates for E-3 or OPT-sponsored roles.
Use a platform that filters by real sponsorship history
Not every job listing tells you whether a company actually sponsors visas. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, saving time and helping you focus on employers like WorkOS that have a confirmed track record.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does WorkOS sponsor H-1B visas?
Based on available visa filing data, WorkOS has not sponsored H-1B visas in recent years. The company's sponsorship activity has focused on the E-3 visa, which is available exclusively to Australian citizens. If you're not Australian and require H-1B visa sponsorship, WorkOS may not be the right fit at this stage of its growth.
Which visa types does WorkOS sponsor?
WorkOS has sponsored E-3 visas for qualifying Australian citizens in technical roles. The company also lists F-1 OPT and F-1 CPT among its supported visa types, making it potentially accessible to international students currently studying in the United States. Green Card and H-1B sponsorship have not been part of their recent hiring activity.
What types of roles at WorkOS are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
WorkOS is a developer-tools company, so engineering, product, and technical go-to-market roles are the most natural fit for sponsorship. These positions typically require a degree in a specific field, computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline, which is exactly what the E-3 and OPT visa frameworks require to qualify.
What should I expect from the application timeline if I need visa sponsorship at WorkOS?
For E-3 applicants, the timeline from offer to start date can be as short as a few weeks, since the E-3 doesn't require lottery registration. F-1 OPT candidates should confirm their OPT authorization dates align with WorkOS's intended start date. Raise your visa situation early in the process so the recruiting team can plan accordingly.
How do I find open roles at WorkOS that offer visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lists verified visa-sponsoring employers, including WorkOS, so you can browse open roles filtered by the visa types you actually hold. This saves time compared to applying broadly and discovering late in the process that a company won't sponsor your visa category. Check Migrate Mate regularly, as sponsoring companies update their listings as new roles open.
