Align your credentials to autonomous vehicle delivery
Zoox's program management roles sit at the intersection of hardware, software, and safety systems. Frame your experience around cross-functional delivery in regulated or safety-critical environments, not generic project coordination, before you apply.
Research open roles by team and product area
Zoox posts Project Program Manager roles across distinct areas including vehicle integration, autonomy stack, and manufacturing operations. Targeting a specific product area in your application signals depth and increases your chances of reaching a hiring manager.
Request E-3 or TN sponsorship early in negotiation
If you're Australian or Canadian, the E-3 and TN visa categories bypass the H-1B lottery entirely and can be processed far faster. Raise your visa type with the recruiter before the offer stage so Zoox's immigration counsel can confirm the filing path.
Prepare your specialty occupation documentation now
For H-1B petitions, USCIS requires evidence that the Project Program Manager role requires a specific bachelor's degree or higher. Gather transcripts, degree equivalency evaluations if your credential is from outside the U.S., and any professional certifications like PMP before the offer arrives.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsoring employers
Not every program management role at an AV company leads to a visa petition. Use Migrate Mate to surface Project Program Manager openings at Zoox filtered by verified sponsorship history, so you're applying where the sponsorship pathway is confirmed, not assumed.
Confirm your OPT or STEM extension timeline before interviews
If you're on F-1 OPT, your authorization window shapes which filing deadlines Zoox's legal team must meet. Know your exact OPT end date and whether you qualify for the 24-month STEM extension before your first recruiter call, so there are no surprises during the offer process.

Find Project Program Manager at Zoox JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Zoox sponsor H-1B visas for Project Program Managers?
Yes, Zoox sponsors H-1B visas for Project Program Manager roles. Because these positions require coordinating complex technical programs across engineering disciplines, they typically satisfy USCIS's specialty occupation standard when supported by a relevant degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field. Zoox works with immigration counsel to file petitions, so candidates should confirm sponsorship eligibility during the recruiter screening call.
Which visa types are commonly used for Project Program Manager roles at Zoox?
Zoox supports multiple visa categories for this role, including H-1B, E-3 for Australian citizens, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3. Candidates on F-1 OPT or CPT can also join while a longer-term petition is prepared. The right category depends on your nationality, degree, and current status, so the path varies by candidate.
What qualifications and experience does Zoox expect for Project Program Manager roles?
Zoox looks for program managers with experience delivering complex, cross-functional technical programs, ideally in automotive, robotics, aerospace, or another safety-critical hardware-software environment. A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline is typically expected. Familiarity with structured program management methodologies and the ability to coordinate across mechanical, electrical, and software teams is a practical differentiator for these roles.
How do I apply for Project Program Manager jobs at Zoox?
You can browse and apply for Project Program Manager openings directly through Zoox's careers site. To find roles where visa sponsorship is confirmed, use Migrate Mate to filter Zoox listings by sponsorship type before applying. When you apply, tailor your resume to the specific product area or team the role sits within, and be prepared to address your visa status early in the recruiter screening process.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at Zoox?
The H-1B cap registration window opens in March each year, with an October 1 start date for selected petitions. If you're targeting Zoox and need H-1B sponsorship, you'll want a job offer in place no later than February so the company's immigration counsel can prepare your registration. Candidates already in H-1B status transferring from another employer face a shorter timeline and can start after USCIS receives the transfer petition.
