Contracts Manager Jobs in Los Angeles: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a contracts manager job in Los Angeles?
Focus your search on Los Angeles's strongest hiring sectors: aerospace and defense along the South Bay corridor, entertainment and media in Burbank and Hollywood, healthcare across the medical corridor from Koreatown to Westwood, and commercial construction downtown. Candidates who combine contract lifecycle experience with familiarity in government or entertainment contracting stand out. Tailoring your resume to the specific sector you're targeting makes a real difference in this market.
Which companies hire contracts managers in Los Angeles?
Companies currently hiring contracts managers in Los Angeles include Turner & Townsend, PwC, and Amgen, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Los Angeles's employer mix is unusually broad, ranging from major defense primes and studio conglomerates to large hospital networks and commercial developers, so openings appear across many different industries at any given time.
Are there remote contracts manager jobs in Los Angeles?
Yes, though it depends on the sector: contracts managers in software, tech, and corporate procurement work remotely more often than those in construction, defense, or government contracting, where on-site presence is typically required. About 57% of contracts manager openings tied to Los Angeles are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with hybrid arrangements most common among entertainment and healthcare employers headquartered in the region.
How can I get a contracts manager job in Los Angeles with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Los Angeles is starting as a contracts administrator or procurement coordinator, roles that are plentiful across the city's defense, healthcare, and entertainment sectors. Large aerospace employers in El Segundo and Torrance, as well as hospital systems throughout the region, regularly hire at the coordinator level and promote from within. A paralegal background or experience in supply chain also transfers well and opens doors with local government contractors and studios.
Which industries hire the most contracts managers in Los Angeles?
Most contracts manager openings in Los Angeles sit in Consulting & Professional Services, Energy, and Science & Research, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Los Angeles's unique combination of a major defense manufacturing base, one of the world's largest entertainment industries, and a sprawling healthcare and construction sector makes it one of the more diverse contracting markets in the country.
