Corporate Finance Manager Jobs in Chicago: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a corporate finance manager job in Chicago?
Focus your search on the Loop and River North, where financial services firms, insurance companies, and corporate headquarters cluster, then expand to healthcare systems on the Near North Side and private equity shops in the West Loop. Candidates with FP&A experience, exposure to capital markets, or a background in M&A tend to stand out. A CFA or CPA designation adds weight at larger Chicago firms, and referrals through local finance professional networks move resumes faster than cold applications.
Which companies hire corporate finance managers in Chicago?
Companies currently hiring corporate finance managers in Chicago include Google, Wells Enterprises, and Kraft Heinz, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Chicago's employer mix is broad, ranging from Fortune 500 corporate headquarters and regional banks to private equity-backed portfolio companies and large hospital systems.
Are there remote corporate finance manager jobs in Chicago?
Yes, though with limits: corporate finance manager roles that involve external stakeholder reporting, board presentations, or hands-on treasury work typically require in-office presence, while FP&A modeling and strategic analysis skew more remote-friendly. About 40% of corporate finance manager openings tied to Chicago are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with hybrid schedules most common among large corporate employers in the Loop.
How can I get a corporate finance manager job in Chicago with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Chicago is through a financial analyst or senior analyst role at a large corporate employer, then building toward manager-level responsibilities over two to three years. Chicago's healthcare systems, insurance carriers like those headquartered downtown, and consumer goods companies with Midwest offices regularly hire entry-level analysts into structured finance rotations. Demonstrated Excel and financial modeling skills, even from academic projects or internships at Chicago-area firms, make a strong case at the analyst level.
Which industries hire the most corporate finance managers in Chicago?
The sectors hiring the most corporate finance managers in Chicago are Technology & Software, Food & Beverage, and Artificial Intelligence, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Chicago's position as a Midwest financial hub and home to major insurance, healthcare, and trading firm headquarters makes it one of the densest markets for corporate finance roles outside of New York.
