Creative Manager Jobs in Los Angeles: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a creative manager job in Los Angeles?
Focus your search on entertainment studios, streaming platforms, advertising agencies, and consumer brands headquartered in Hollywood, Culver City, and Santa Monica, where creative manager hiring is most active. A portfolio that shows cross-channel campaign work or brand development carries real weight in this market. Networking through industry events in the Arts District and connecting with in-house creative teams at major studios gives candidates a consistent edge.
Which companies hire creative managers in Los Angeles?
Companies currently hiring creative managers in Los Angeles include Netflix, Walmart, and Alo, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Los Angeles employers tend to be a mix of global entertainment companies, independent agencies, and fast-growing consumer brands with large in-house creative departments.
Are there remote creative manager jobs in Los Angeles?
Yes, though remote availability depends heavily on the role: creative managers overseeing in-studio production or on-set work are almost always on-site, while those focused on brand strategy, content planning, or digital campaigns often have more flexibility. About 100% of creative manager openings tied to Los Angeles are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with hybrid arrangements most common at tech-adjacent companies in Playa Vista and Santa Monica.
How can I get a creative manager job in Los Angeles with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Los Angeles is moving up from a senior designer, art director, or content strategist role at a mid-size agency or in-house brand team. Smaller production companies in Burbank and boutique agencies in Silver Lake regularly hire junior creative leads who can show strong conceptual work. Building a portfolio around entertainment or lifestyle brands, which dominate the local market, makes candidates more competitive for that first management opportunity.
Which industries hire the most creative managers in Los Angeles?
Los Angeles creative manager roles concentrate in Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. The city's deep roots in film, television, and music, combined with a large advertising and fashion sector, make it one of the most active creative hiring markets in the country.
