Responsible for obtaining diagnostic quality computed tomography (CT scans) images according to pre-established guidelines. Schedules and observes time-management techniques according to departmental productivity and efficiency standards while observing a quality patient care experience.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Graduate of a radiographer program.
REQUIRED LICENSE: Licensure in Medical Radiation with the state of Mississippi and Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology required.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Regularly exposed to the risk of bloodborne/airborne disease
- Contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances
- Exposed to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries, chemicals and illness)
- Subject to varying and unpredictable situations
- Able to handle emergency, crisis or pressured situations
- Subject to multiple interruptions
- Occasionally subject to extended or irregular hours
- Requires judgment/actions that impact patient outcomes
