Job Description:
This job is responsible for supporting analytical work efforts for various projects within a Line of Business or business discipline. Key responsibilities include leveraging databases to acquire client and performance data, transforming extracted data into meaningful insights and trends, and delivering those insights to leaders to make complex business decisions. Job expectations include working with business partners to understand, coordinate, and deliver agreed upon priorities while communicating complex data outputs and delivering the appropriate summary and data required.

Line of Business Job Description

The Reporting Analyst is responsible for delivering high-quality reporting, analytics, and data insights to business partners. This role works closely with stakeholders to understand reporting needs, develop reporting solutions, support ad hoc analysis, and ensure accurate and timely delivery of critical business, operational, regulatory, and audit reporting. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and SQL skills with a customer-focused mindset. They can translate business questions into data-driven solutions, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting Delivery & Business Support

• Develop, maintain, and deliver recurring business, operational, regulatory, and management reports
• Respond to ad hoc reporting and data requests from business partners and leadership
• Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and define reporting requirements
• Ensure reports are delivered accurately and on established timelines
• Present findings, trends, and data insights in a clear and actionable manner
• Support business decisions through data analysis and reporting

Data Analysis & SQL Development

• Write and maintain SQL queries to support reporting and analytical needs
• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, issues, and opportunities
• Validate and reconcile data across multiple sources
• Troubleshoot reporting issues and resolve data discrepancies
• Recommend process improvements that increase reporting efficiency and accuracy

Report Management & Governance

• Support report inventory and reporting documentation activities
• Maintain reporting procedures, business rules, and logic documentation
• Ensure reporting processes comply with established controls and governance standards
• Participate in report enhancement and modernization efforts
• Assist with audit, compliance, and regulatory requests as needed

Stakeholder Partnership

• Build strong relationships with business partners and reporting consumers
• Provide reporting consultation and support to stakeholders
• Translate business requirements into reporting solutions
• Manage competing priorities while maintaining strong customer service

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree
• 3+ years of experience in reporting, analytics, business intelligence, or related fields
• SQL experience, including query development
• Experience supporting business reporting and ad hoc analytical requests
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using SAS, Tableau, Power BI, Microstrategy or similar reporting tools
• Graduate degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or similar field
• Knowledge of data validation, data quality controls, and reconciliations
• Experience supporting audit, risk, compliance, or regulatory reporting
