INTRODUCTION
This position is responsible for directing the university’s institutional research functions.
Responsibilities

Prepares and provides accurate and reliable data, statistics, and reports for internal and external stakeholders. (45%)

Provides support and analysis for a variety of institutional reporting functions.

Communicates and presents data and study results to appropriate stakeholders.

Collects, organizes, edits, maintains, and validates data needed for accurate and consistent data reporting, institutional study, and data-driven decision making. (20%)

Reviews data, information, research, and policy studies to anticipate research questions and data needs.

Communicates and presents issues related to data use and integrity to appropriate stakeholders.

Performs basic and advanced analyses. (15%)

Performs basic analysis such as summing, totaling, and descriptive statistics.
-
Performs advanced analysis such as inferential statistics, forecasting, and predictive modeling.

Completes professional development activities. (10%)
-
Completes training and workshops, reads professional literature, and attends conferences and meetings to develop knowledge and skills necessary to improve data, information, and analysis for decision-making support.

Performs a variety of related duties. (10%)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Requirements
Master's degree in a course of study related to the occupational field required.
Required Experience
More than three years of related experience required.

The work consists of varied management, assessment, analysis, and reporting duties. Frequently changing priorities contribute to the complexity of the position.
The purpose of this position is to direct the institutional research functions of the university. Success in this position contributes to the success of all university operations through the facilitation of informed decision making.
