E-3 Visa Tax Senior Manager Jobs
Tax Senior Manager roles in the U.S. require a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, qualifying them as E-3 specialty occupations. Australian professionals can secure E-3 visa sponsorship without competing in the H-1B lottery, making the path to U.S. public accounting and corporate tax leadership more direct than most realise.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Tax Senior Manager
Get your credentials evaluated before applying
Australian three-year accounting degrees are generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year bachelor's degree, but some employers request formal credential evaluation. Have a NACES-member evaluator assess your qualification before your first interview to remove that objection upfront.
Target Big Four and national CPA firm offices
Large public accounting firms have in-house immigration teams that handle E-3 filings regularly. Regional offices in cities like Chicago, Houston, and Atlanta often have faster hiring timelines and less competition for senior roles than New York or San Francisco.
Clarify your CPA status early in conversations
U.S. employers distinguish between Australian CA and U.S. CPA credentials. If you hold a CA designation, explain its equivalence during screening. Some employers require active U.S. CPA licensure at the senior manager level, so confirm this before investing time in the process.
Ask your employer to file the LCA promptly after offer
The DOL must certify your Labor Condition Application before the consulate appointment can proceed. Delays happen when employers treat it as a final step. Push for the LCA to be filed within a week of your signed offer to keep your start date on track.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for end-to-end support
E-3 applications for senior tax roles involve specialty occupation documentation and prevailing wage compliance that trips up first-time sponsors. Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service manages the LCA, visa paperwork, and consulate preparation so neither you nor your employer misses a step.
Confirm the role description supports specialty occupation
The E-3 requires the position to theoretically and practically necessitate a specific bachelor's degree. Generic job titles like 'Senior Manager' sometimes have duties broad enough to raise USCIS questions. Review the job description with your employer to ensure it reflects specialised tax expertise, not general management.

Find Tax Senior Manager JobsTax Senior Manager E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Tax Senior Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search for Tax Senior Manager roles where employers are open to E-3 sponsorship. General job searches surface listings with no sponsorship information, which wastes time at the senior level. Filtering specifically for E-3-eligible roles lets you focus on firms that already understand the process and are prepared to file.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Tax Senior Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in accounting, taxation, finance, or a directly related field. The E-3 specialty occupation standard is met when the degree requirement is both theoretical and practical. Roles that list a degree as preferred rather than required can create complications, so the offer letter and job description need to be specific about degree requirements.
How does the E-3 visa compare to H-1B for Tax Senior Manager roles?
The E-3 has a significant structural advantage: there is no annual lottery. H-1B registrations are entered into a random draw each April, and selection is not guaranteed. The E-3 allocates 10,500 visas annually to Australian nationals, and that cap has never been reached. For a Tax Senior Manager with a confirmed offer, the E-3 path is predictable in a way the H-1B is not.
Can I change employers or firms on an E-3 while working as a Tax Senior Manager?
Yes, but each employer change requires a new E-3 application. The new employer must file a fresh LCA with the DOL and you'll need a new visa stamp if you travel internationally after starting with the new firm. You can begin work with the new employer once the new visa is approved, so coordinating timing around the consulate appointment is the main practical challenge.
