E-3 Visa Financial Planning Analysis Jobs
Financial Planning Analysis roles qualify for E-3 visa sponsorship as specialty occupations requiring a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics. Australian professionals bring analytical skills that U.S. employers actively recruit for, and the E-3's no-lottery structure means your job search drives the timeline, not an annual draw.

- Act as strategic and trusted advisor to business leaders by being a student of the markets and leveraging strategic and financial expertise, insights into the latest trends and competitive intelligence
- Collect, analyze, and present financial data to support projects and business operations
- Communicate strategic priorities and financial information cohesively to senior stakeholders through both written presentations and verbal communications
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify challenges and opportunities, delivering actionable insights that inform strategic decisions
Development Value:
- The role offers unique exposure to global, regional, and business unit leadership at BlackRock
- It provides a platform to build a professional brand and advance career development within a collaborative, inquisitive, and high-performing global Finance & Strategy team culture
- Builds readiness for VP-level FP&A, Strategy, or Finance leadership roles
Skills / Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent with strong academic achievement; MBA a plus but not required
- 3-6 years of relevant work experience in consulting, finance, banking, or similar fields, with a strong preference for asset management industry experience
- Proficiency in financial processes including modelling, planning, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliation, reporting, and valuation
- Proven ability to drive change through creativity, relationship building, and focused execution
- A keen interest in markets and asset management innovation
- Commercially minded with the ability to balance speed and quality in deliverables
- Strong quantitative, problem-solving, organizational, and execution skills
- Effective communication skills for presenting ideas clearly to senior management
- Experience navigating complex stakeholder environments and working in cross-functional teams
- Expertise in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with IBM Planning Analytics and Microsoft PowerBI is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI and automation to drive efficiency gains, streamline workflows, and reimagine core business processes—reducing manual effort, cycle times, and operational risk

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Financial Planning Analysis
Translate your Australian credentials for U.S. employers
Your Australian three-year bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree for E-3 specialty occupation purposes. Gather your academic transcripts and a credential evaluation if your degree title differs from standard U.S. finance programs.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Search DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data to identify companies that have previously filed Labor Condition Applications for FP&A or financial analyst roles. Prior LCA filings signal a finance team already familiar with E-3 sponsorship paperwork.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsoring employers
Migrate Mate filters Financial Planning Analysis roles by E-3 visa sponsorship history, so you're applying to employers who have already run this process. Searching a general job board gives you no signal on whether a company will sponsor.
Frame your FP&A role as a specialty occupation early
During interviews, confirm the position requires a finance or accounting degree specifically, not just any bachelor's degree. Roles where any major qualifies can complicate the E-3 specialty occupation determination, so get clarity before accepting an offer.
Clarify the LCA process with your offer-stage employer
Once you have a written offer, your employer must file a certified LCA with DOL before your consulate appointment can proceed. Confirm they understand this step is their responsibility and that DOL typically certifies LCAs within seven business days.
Streamline your filing with a dedicated E-3 service
FP&A roles often require prevailing wage documentation tied to specific SOC codes, which can trip up employers filing an E-3 for the first time. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork so nothing stalls between offer and consulate appointment.

Find Financial Planning Analysis JobsFinancial Planning Analysis E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Financial Planning Analysis jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search FP&A roles filtered by E-3 sponsorship history. General job boards don't surface employer sponsorship willingness, so you can spend weeks applying to companies that won't run the process. Migrate Mate surfaces employers who have filed LCAs for financial analyst and FP&A roles, which gives you a concrete shortlist to work from.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Financial Planning Analysis role qualify as an E-3 specialty occupation?
Yes, provided the position specifically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in finance, accounting, economics, or a directly related field. The key test is whether the degree requirement is tied to the field, not just any bachelor's degree. Job descriptions that say 'bachelor's degree preferred' rather than 'required' can create complications at the consulate, so review the offer letter wording carefully before filing.
How does the E-3 visa compare to the H-1B for FP&A professionals?
The E-3 has no annual cap and no lottery, so approval depends on your qualifications and your employer's filing, not random selection. The H-1B has an 85,000-slot cap with a lottery that results in roughly a one-in-four selection rate for most applicants. For Australian FP&A professionals, the E-3 is a direct path: you find the role, the employer files the LCA, and you attend a consulate interview, with no lottery standing between you and the job.
Can I switch FP&A employers after my E-3 is approved?
Yes, but each new employer must file a new LCA and you'll need to obtain a new E-3 visa stamp before re-entering the U.S. on the new employer's sponsorship. If you change roles while already in the U.S., you can begin working for the new employer once their LCA is certified and a new I-129 petition is filed, but you'll need the new visa stamp on your next international trip.
