Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Finance Systems Manager
Frame your ERP credentials for U.S. employers
Australian Finance Systems Managers often hold Workday, SAP, or Oracle certifications that U.S. hiring teams recognize. Present these credentials alongside your degree transcript early in your application so employers don't question specialty occupation status before scheduling interviews.
Verify your degree meets specialty occupation standards
Your Australian bachelor's degree must directly relate to the Finance Systems Manager role. A three-year Australian degree is generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree, but confirm your transcript lists a relevant field like accounting, finance, or information systems before applying.
Target employers already filing LCAs for finance roles
Search the DOL's Foreign Labor Application Gateway for certified LCA filings under finance and IT management job titles. Employers with recent LCA history for systems or finance roles are far more likely to understand E-3 sponsorship requirements without needing lengthy internal education.
Ask about internal ERP project pipelines during interviews
Finance Systems Manager roles tied to active ERP implementations or finance transformation projects are more defensible as specialty occupations. Ask hiring managers about upcoming system migrations or integrations, these projects strengthen the specialty occupation case for your E-3 visa application.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for LCA and consulate prep
Once you have an offer, Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service manages the entire process from LCA lodgement with the DOL through DS-160 completion and consulate appointment preparation, so you don't have to coordinate those steps across multiple government portals yourself.
Negotiate your start date around LCA certification timelines
The DOL certifies Labor Condition Applications within seven working days under standard processing. Build that window into your offer negotiation, then factor in consulate appointment availability at Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth so your start date is realistic and doesn't pressure your employer into costly delays.

Find Finance Systems Manager JobsFinance Systems Manager E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Finance Systems Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. It surfaces Finance Systems Manager roles where U.S. employers have confirmed E-3 sponsorship willingness, so you're not applying blind and then discovering late in the process that the company won't file an LCA. Filter by role and location to find relevant openings.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Finance Systems Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for E-3 purposes?
Yes, provided the position requires a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as accounting, finance, information systems, or computer science. Roles involving ERP configuration, financial reporting systems, or systems integration consistently meet this standard. Roles framed as general management without a specific degree requirement can attract scrutiny, so your job offer letter should state the degree requirement explicitly.
How does the E-3 visa compare to the H-1B for Finance Systems Manager roles?
The E-3 has no annual lottery and no cap that restricts when you can apply, meaning you can start the process any time you have a job offer. H-1B petitions are capped at 85,000 per year and require a lottery registration in April, with an October 1 start date at the earliest. For Australian Finance Systems Managers, the E-3 is a significantly faster and more predictable path to U.S. employment.
Can I transfer my E-3 visa to a new Finance Systems Manager employer in the U.S.?
Yes, but the process restarts with the new employer. Your new employer must file a fresh LCA with the DOL and you'll need to attend a new consulate interview in Australia unless you're changing employers while maintaining valid E-3 status and can apply for a new visa stamp before your current one expires. There's no portability provision equivalent to the H-1B's AC21 rule.
