Who's Hiring

Engineering Jobs in Vancouver: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a engineering job in Vancouver?
Focus your search on Vancouver's strongest engineering sectors: civil and infrastructure work tied to regional transportation projects, defense and electronics manufacturing near the Port of Vancouver, and energy and utilities employers along the Columbia River corridor. Candidates with hands-on field experience, familiarity with Pacific Northwest permitting processes, or specialized manufacturing backgrounds stand out. Targeting mid-size contractors and industrial employers headquartered in Vancouver rather than Seattle-based firms can also reduce competition.
Which companies hire engineerings in Vancouver?
Employers hiring engineerings in Vancouver right now include AZAD Technology Partners, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Vancouver's employer base skews toward defense contractors, civil engineering firms, semiconductor and electronics manufacturers, and utilities, many of which operate independently of the larger Portland metro market.
Are there remote engineering jobs in Vancouver?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the specialty. Field, construction, and manufacturing engineering roles in Vancouver are almost always on-site by nature, while systems, software, and project engineering positions are more likely to offer flexibility. About 100% of engineering openings tied to Vancouver are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, with hybrid arrangements most common among design and analytical roles at Vancouver's larger defense and tech employers.
How can I get a engineering job in Vancouver with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Vancouver is through technician or engineering associate roles at manufacturing and defense contractors, which regularly hire entry-level candidates and promote from within. Employers in the Columbia Tech Center and industrial areas along Highway 14 often post junior positions in civil drafting, quality control, and process support. A co-op or internship with a local firm, combined with AutoCAD or relevant software proficiency, gives candidates a concrete edge over applicants with only classroom experience.
