Your Role on Our Team:
The Sr. Regulatory Technician will support Regulatory Engineers by completing regulatory standard testing, verifying that our tools meet industry standards.
You will assist in the maintenance of lab equipment and operating procedures, as well as mentoring and assisting entry-level technicians. Coordinate improvement efforts for the lab.
You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:
- Perform regulatory compliance testing on tools, batteries, and other products
- Employ a variety of electrical test equipment, mechanical test equipment, and test procedures
- Interpret regulatory tests using regulatory standards, test datasheets, and other operational documents
- Record, analyze, and report test results
- Create, modify, and maintain test setups and fixtures
- Perform other duties as assigned
The TOOLS you’ll bring with you:
- Technical Associate’s Degree or equivalent technical experience
- 3-5 years related experience
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Skilled in electrical and mechanical fabrication
- Proficiency with electronic and mechanical test equipment, including but not limited to: DMMs, DAQs, oscilloscopes, current clamps, torque wrenches, and mechanical probes
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office products
- Ability to instrument, disassemble, and reassemble tools and test samples
- Excellent organization & communication skills
- Experience with PLCs is a plus though not required
Working Conditions:
- Sometimes exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels
- Occasionally exposed to hazardous equipment
- Ability to carry and/or lift up to 50 pounds several times a day
