On-the-job educational programs for nurses, psychologists, advanced practice providers, psychiatrists, and chaplains are equipping the next generation of care providers.

What Will You Do?
As an Environmental Services Technician Level 1 at Pine Rest, you’ll be part of a tight-knit team that believes in the healing power of your expertise and compassion.
This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe environment inside and outside the assigned areas by performing duties according to departmental techniques, procedures, and needs. Environmental technicians need to be willing to learn and perform all work to CMS/the Joint Commission/OSHA/and hospital standards. They are dedicated to excellent customer service, enthusiastic about the care we offer, and foster a sense of belonging and empowerment in a diverse workplace.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cleans in assigned areas, such as patient rooms, nurses' stations, examination and treatment rooms, public and patient lavatories, lounges and offices, and public areas.
- Sweeps, dusts, dust mops and wet mops floors and stairways, spots carpets, and buffs hard floors.
- Cleans and sanitizes discharge beds. Makes beds in designated areas. Washes down all patient discharge furniture including night stands, dressers, and over-bed tables. Cleans and sanitizes waste receptacles.
- Collects trash and refuse from work areas and completes appropriate disposal.
- Cleans, sanitizes, and polishes baths, lavatories, and shower/sink fixtures. Stocks paper and soap products, etc. as necessary.
- Dusts, washes, sponge mops, sanitizes and extracts furniture. Cleans and polishes glass surfaces, walls, and window sills, window frames, doors, and registers.
- Scrubs bathroom tiles, woodwork, lights, and vents.
- Maintains equipment and materials in a clean and orderly manner.
- Vacuums and edges carpeted areas as necessary.
- Contributes by participating in meetings, identifying problems and seeking solutions. Participates in department efforts to monitor and report.
What Does This Role Require?
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Experience working in residential or healthcare environment preferred.
- One year of related experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, staff, vendors and the general public.
- Must meet all health requirements, including TB, and pass background check.
- Ability to communicate through the oral and/or written process and ability to follow directions.

The equivalent base pay range for this position is $15.57 - $21.79. Your interview and offer letter will specify whether the role is hourly or salaried. Please note that this range does not include potential shift differentials, incentives, or bonuses, which may be part of the total compensation package. Final base pay will be determined based on location, experience, education, certifications, and FTE status.
