Job Description
DUTIES: Manage the design, development and improvement of manufacturing and material handling processes for an assigned area. Analyze and implement product or machinery designs for the best method for manufacturing processes and optimized material flow. Provide technical support for specific plant and material operations. Interact on a regular basis with design, product, and manufacturing engineering teams. Provide direction to engineering support group and vendors. Evaluate or monitor expenditures for processes and equipment. Develop technical knowledge and test advanced process technology and lean principles. Demonstrate strong analytical ability, communication, and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with team members and customers to solve problems and resolve issues. Manage major projects and assignments with full autonomy and accountability for results. 50% travel required to client sites nationwide.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field of study. One year of experience as a Project Leader, Senior Software Engineer, or related occupation. Must have one year of experience in the following: Manufacturing Engineering experience; Project management including new product launches and material automation; Experience with technical direction on new technologies and automated systems; Controls, robotics, and safety experience; PLC and HMI programming, Ethernet and Devicenet networks; Servo motors, motion control, and drives; Electrical and control systems and the ability to apply these concepts within a manufacturing environment; Bluebotics Project Execution and ANT Drive Project Experience including configuring ANT Projects in ANT Lab; Troubleshooting ANT Projects and equipment controls systems; Analyze and recommend ANT based equipment project configuration; and Manufacturing processes including welding, dispense, throughput, and material handling automation equipment and systems including Bluebotics, WMS, Electronic Pull systems.
