Our technology aligns with state of the art automotive and uses a platform to enable right sized products of high value. Applications include motorcycles, e-bikes, lawnmowers, energy conversion and storage, back up power, and other customer driven solutions. Our lead product is a high power EV powertrain for an electric racing dirt bike. Based on TWIG (the whole is greater) philosophy, products are designed in-house or jointly with customers to create something that is greater than the sum of its parts. With in-house and close partner manufacturing, key elements of supply chain and design for manufacturing are integral to our success.
Position: Lead Electrical Engineer
As the lead electrical engineer, you will develop, validate, and maintain hardware solutions for for battery, electrification, and power generation products. This includes circuit board designs for battery management, inverters, and other electronics solutions. Responsibilities include schematic capture and layout, design analysis through circuit simulation and worst case analysis. Designs include mixed signal applications along with high power that use traditional FR4 and aluminum substrates and require thermal management. Solutions typically are very dense and utilize board to board connections and require a high degree of signal integrity.
-High voltage (>400V) inverter/power conversion design
-Schematic design and capture and PCB layout with Altium
-Microcontroller, mixed signal, and high power
-Circuit simulation with PSPICE or similar
-Design release management

-Electrical component library management

-BS Electrical Engineering, MS preferred
-Minimum of 10 years automotive industry experience at Tier 1 or OEM
-Electric powertrain or battery management experience a preferred
-Ability to write test code for validation purposes preferred
